'firstly communication was not clear because when I get the guesthouse the person who was assisting me told me that I'm supposed to be in Strand but the direction that I got was for Somerset. I was so confused but assisted me because there was a room that was free in that site. very thing is perfect very apartment is very nit and clean. '

'Basic accommodations, didnt look like the photos. Less of a hotel bit like staying in someone house. Mold around shower and ok room for a quick overnight stay. 20 min walk to restaurants though. Bed comfy. '

'We couldn’t operate the guest stove, no instructions were give on arrival. Secondly we needed to call the owner to show us how to operate the TV including WiFi connection.'

'Amazing from start to finish - I honestly do not understand why this hotel has received some negative reviews. The staff was amazing - from check-in to restaurant to golf shop. The facilities at the hotel are superb - an amazing outdoor pool, 24-hour gym, indoor spa facilities and treatments, hairdresser, golf course and golf shop and fabulous rooms! 'hotel zeer mooi gelegen, royaal, vriendelijk personeel. Er moet echter nodig gerenoveerd worden. En er moet ook beter schoongemaakt worden. Het is groezelig. Als dat voor elkaar is zal dit hotel veel potentie hebben. Ontbijt was prima. 2 zwembaden, die klein zijn, is te weinig. Meubels in lobby mogen ook vernieuwd worden. kan prachtige lobby worden'

'Absolutely stunning place to stay. Our bedroom view was of the whole of Gordon’s bay. Superbly comfortable bed, great water pressure in the shower. Breakfast was a feast with perfectly poached eggs, sides, avocado, croissants, etc! Ate way too much!!! Add to that just how wonderfully welcoming and attentive our hosts were. More than that, they also gave excellent advice on our planned excursions. They love this area and want you to love it too! We’d stay here again in a heartbeat. '

'Only far away from city. Please note Cape town has big problem with trafic jam. Quiet and near the beach. Good if you have a car'

'Pool was enjoyable. Rooms modern and very clean, comfortable bed and spacious. Staff very friendly and hospitable. We would definitely stay there again when visiting Somerset West. Location also convenient and close enough to the highways to Stellenbosh and to the N2 to Cape Town or George. '

'We had a very nice experience with the chocolate box. Very nice room with out of view but thus was told beforehand. The swimming pool is not big but good enough for a dip on hot days, also the view ftom the pool is outstanding. Very nice staff working. All with all we had a very relaxing and amazing holiday thanks too the staff!'
