The only positive during our stay was the woman and man who were at the desk to help us check in and quickly and effectively work through an issue with our booking on Expedia. However, even then, nobody was at the front desk to check in when we arrived. From here it was all downhill:
1. 95% of the time there was no one to be found at the front desk.
2. The hall carpets were covered with crumbs and debris.
3. The garbage in the hallways was overflowing.
4. The chairs in our daughter's room were covered with stains.
5. The "do not disturb signs" were completely pointless because our room was not serviced once.
6. When we asked for a new key to our daughter's room, the front desk attendant gave it to us without asking for ID or even who we were. On another occasion the front desk attendant fixed my key so I could get into my room, but again, didn't even ask for my name. This was particularly alarming-- it seemed that anyone at any time could ask for a key to any room they wanted.
7. Each of our keys was nonfunctioning at least once.
8. Some of the front desk staff wouldn't even look up when you were standing there. When they were missing they could regularly be found outside smoking.
9. In the gym, the water cooler was empty and there were no cups. I stepped up on the elliptical to find a paper towel with dried blood in the cup holder.
10. Our room smelled like a bar the night after St. Patrick's Day.
My brother warned me not to stay at this hotel. I should have listened.
