We were welcomed nicely and check-in was quick. However, we had to pay a €250 deposit — something I haven’t experienced in years and that felt very old-fashioned.
The Executive Suite we booked was okay, though showing some wear and tear. Unfortunately, the sleeping couch for the kids wasn’t made up. Since there are no phones in the rooms, we had to go down to reception twice before this was finally arranged.
The night was even more disappointing: at 4:30 the TVs in our room switched themselves on, welcoming the “next guest.” At 5:30, someone even opened our door and walked into our room — an extremely unpleasant and unsafe experience.
At checkout we reported all this to reception, and the staff said management would follow up. Unsurprisingly, we haven’t heard anything back.
If you only need a place to stay for one night, the hotel is acceptable. Just be prepared for a hefty deposit, make sure to double-lock (or barricade) your door, and don’t expect too much.
