'We stayed in the Dolphin room; a convenient and clean room with outdoor shower. When showering in the evening you can see a sky with stars. Dragonfly ranch is an unique place with a nice, even spiritual, vibe. The staff is very welcoming. For the light sleepers; the frogs are really loud. One of us used earplugs which were provided. Breakfast was tasty. Overall we would recommend this lovely place.'

'Checkin very friendly, the park is super clean, parking easy. Apartment good with lot of extra's like dishwasher, washing machine, coffee etc. Close to the black beach. Although there is not much around the location (20-30min drive for a supermarket), thats not the worst. On the big island everything takes time to drive, so for a relaxing place, this hotel is recommended.'

'This place is unique, and the huge trees on the property are amazing. You can pick your own fruit and macadamia nuts even, and keep or eat them. The set up of the "common area" is a bit odd, with the main room being part of the hostesses house. The pictures of the beautiful kitchen that I saw in the listing was very misleading, as the kitchen is 100% hands off, guests are not allowed to touch it. Which was really weird and not welcoming, and odd that you can be right next to the hosts personal...

'This is a lovely lodge on beautiful property. We loved the vintage feel! Ate dinner at the restaurant, and both the food and service were good. Minutes from Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. We had a very enjoyable stay!'

'Nice suite for a weekend. Bed was comfy, tub was nice. Be aware that there is no standard shower, only a tub and hand-held (but it worked fine for us). Some nice touches - fresh fruit (yummy papaya!), nice to have a water dispenser since water bottles don't fit in the bathroom sink. Plenty of towels and bedding just right to adjust temperature (I hate it when the only choices are a HEAVY duvet or just a sheet!). We didn't spend too much time there, but if we'd stayed longer than 2 nights, we...
