« Rarely does anything, any place or anyone OVER-deliver on a promise but the Star Gazer does. The deck cooking area and banos with showers inside and out were my favorite part. The Airstream itself is cozy and clean and the expansive view was life affirming. We had one tiny problem when we arrived but the host picked up our call and quickly talked us through it. I’m giving five stars only because I can’t give 6. »

« Our family of 6 loved the home! It is very secluded and peaceful. There are great views of the mountains on all sides of the home. I would strongly encourage a four wheel drive vehicle to access the home. The high speed internet was fantastic to have to let the family unwind after a busy day of hiking. »

« We really enjoyed Casa Mariposa. Perfect for a couple. Good location with several good restaurants within a mile or two. The Starlight Theatre, Bar and Grill has amazing food, and we caught some great live music when there. The bed was really comfortable, which is a must after a full day of hiking. « We highly recommend staying at this property! We fell in love with the serenity the retreat offers and would gladly return. The drive to Big Bend is around 40 minutes making this location a good spot for travelers to the park. The retreat is fully equipped and we recommend a stop to Alpine for supplies before arriving. « The property was about as close to Big Bend NP as we could get. The view from the front porch was spectacular (especially at sunrise) and the night sky was incredible. We even saw a small herd of javelinas on the property as we were leaving. The property itself satisfied our needs. The owners gave us great directions to this remote location and tips on what to wear and what supplies to bring. Overall a great experience! »

« Our group of 6 chose to stay at Mark's place to be near the BBNP entrance, but that didn't work out quite right for us. Location is ~18 miles down a narrow, winding, lonely road off the main hwy. Then about another 5 miles of dirt road to get to Casa de Chiles. Mark greeted us as we drove up in the early evening. Communication was great and his place is quite clean with some super comfortable beds. Not the best place for basecamp, but a good choice if you're looking to stay somewhere and...
