« Very dated, room cold and not insulated. No facilities in hotel, restaurant, bar, mini fridge in rooms. No staff and locked main door, had to call the hotel company to get them to send someone to open the door to check in. Dirty plate on reception counter. Car park in dilapidated area with dangerous looking roofing and walls. Overall bad stay for the price, similar priced places just up the street with way more going for them, just a shame they were booked up... »

« We enjoyed our stay very much. We enjoyed the conversations we had with our hosts, Esther and Ian, both of whom when out of their way to welcome us and help us. We especially enjoyed walking from the B&B to Threave Castle and exploring the nature preserve. We were traveling without a car and had no problem getting to the property by bus. »
