The Space:

There are desert homes, and then there is VISTA. Perched in the Cahuilla Hills above South Palm Desert and etched into the mountain itself, this architect-designed estate feels less like a vacation rental and more like a cinematic set piece, the kind of property that stops you cold the moment you arrive. Floor-to-ceiling glass wraps the entire rear of the home, framing an uninterrupted panorama of the valley floor, the rolling desert hills, and the golf course below. At sunset, the sky turns extraordinary shades of amber and rose, reflected in the surface of the extra-long lap pool that stretches along the mountain's edge.



Inside, the architecture is bold and warm in equal measure: a floor-to-ceiling natural stone fireplace anchors the living room, walnut cabinetry lines the chef's kitchen, and polished concrete floors run throughout. The dining room seats 10 beneath a sculptural pendant chandelier, with the valley stretching to the horizon through walls of glass.
