What a Gem! My husband and I are frequently travelers and I can say with certainty that this was the nicest VRBO pick we have ever made. The house was beautifully located and it was impeccable. The Amenities exceeded any 5 star hotel I've ever stayed in. I completely fell in love with this property. The interior design was out of a magazine. Jill was very responsive to all our questions and it was a total delight to spend the weekend at this magnificent home. Very highly recommended. If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would have!

The most beautiful house we’ve rented in the FLX in 7 years of visiting annually. The host thought of everything and all the little touches were greatly appreciated. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the kitchen had everything we could have wanted/needed and more. We absolutely loved staying here!

The entire house is amazing. From the moment we walked in until we left, we could not get over the cleanliness and have the hostess, Jill, had thought of every single thing. First of all, we find communication with the owner or "manager to be of paramount importance and owner Jill deserves 5Stars for her complete and most timely response to all inquiries we made to her, no matter how inconsequential.The property itself was as expressed in the listing and better. It was very apparent that there was a great deal of thought into laying out, labeling and directions for all aspects of the comfort for our stay. The physical property was in pristine condition, and the master suite was like a spa. Kudos to Jill for the attention to detail and very successfully anticipating needs of the renter making the experience tops from start to finish. If we have occasion to return to the area, this property will be the first one for which we check availability.

Incredible! Over and above any rental we've stayed in before. Decor is impeccable and there isn't an amenity that was overlooked. Beds and all indoor/outdoor furniture very comfortable. Kitchen stocked extremely well. Lake toys (kayaks, paddle boards, floats, etc) made water play a blast! And the view from the deck and dock cannot be beat - super peaceful and private. We loved exploring the local area as well- hiking in state parks, bike riding, boating, and wineries/breweries. We enjoyed a fantastic week with our family and hope to return again!

Check in was easy. When we got there everything was neat clean and ready to go. Jill left us a nice welcoming gift, and even a nice gift basket for my granddaughter for her birthday. Jill, has thought of everything to make it like home. There was nothing you wished you had with you that wasn’t already there. The kitchens were well stacked with dishes, utensils, storage containers, cooking and serving tools. Even a full spice rack and plastic wrap.The lake shore is quiet and private. My granddaughter totally enjoyed all the floaty toys for the water, and the porches and dock are very comfortable to enjoy the serenity of the lake.We had 6 adults and a preteen and all had private, comfortable rooms that were adequately appointed with pillows, bathrobes and bathroom amenities.We have already rebooked for next year. We loved it.

July 2025 is our second summer returning back to this luxury lake home. Jill is fantastic to communicate with and pays attention to all the small details throughout the house, and lakefront. We noticed several upgrades from the previous summer, which were added bonuses to what was already a very comfortable and relaxing experience. Our family consists of ages: 1,5,8,9,11,13, mid 40 adults and Grandma. There is something for everyone, no matter the age. The “floaty room” shouts water fun for the kids (with all the lake toys a kid can dream of using). The covered porch is great for crawling littles and Gma. The game room is a hit for all. Fishing was also really good for the boys this year. Jill has thought of everything- from the amazing towel warmers, luxury bedding & blankets to spare toiletries and the fully equipped kitchen (I could go on)! We used baby gates, a highchair and pack-n-play that were also provided. We took bike rides and stroller walks on the Sampson State path at the end of the street. To simply put it, just pack your suit, some lake cozy clothes and groceries. The rest is there for you upon arrival- we also loved the 1st birthday welcome basket for our younger little guy, which kicked off our week right. Thank you for another fantastic week!

Absolutely beautiful!

We were a group of military veterans and spouses who meet every two years in different locations as we are scattered. This by far was our favorite place. The hosts have so thoughtfully accommodated every need and more. The home is beautifully decorated and clean. The property manager was wonderful and the views are to die for. If you are going to the finger lakes, this is the place to stay!!

Fabulous House!

What a beatiful house! It was right on the lake with gorgeous views, impeccably appointed and spotlessly clean. The house sports a garage full of games, 2 fire pits, a barbeque, a hammock, a dock and multiple outdoor seating areas. The bathrooms had baskets of toiletries, the bedrooms had lavendar pillow spray and the kitchen had a Keurig and choclate-dipped biscotti. Jill was immediately resposive to our communications and left us a "Congratulations Graduate" gift basket after I mentioned that we were there for our daughter's graduation from Cornell. This was by far the best house we have ever stayed in; it far exceeded all our expectations. 10 out of 10 recommend.

Decadent weekend at the lake!

Our group of 8 ladies just finishing spending the weekend at beautiful Stairway to Haven! Everything we could ever want was there, beautiful views outside every floor. Even though it was a windy, rainy weekend, we made the most of the views, the game room in the garage, and simply just celebrating a bride to be ina beautiful place! Clean and thoughtful items/toiletries for use. Well stocked kitchen. Expresso machine was a treat. FYI lots of stairs!

Overall it was amazing! Jill was very friendly, helpful and communicative! House was stunning, property was stunning. Neighborhood was something out of a Steven King novel. But the bed covers were stained with what looked like old blood.

Beautiful home spent with good friends

We are three retired couples who were looking for a spacious, centrally located home to explore our first trip to the finger lakes area. Stairway To Heaven certainly provided this. The home was simply gorgeous, just as advertised in the home description. But beware if you are of the older generation, there are a bunch of stairs to navigate but so well worth the effort! Jill was great, answering the questions we had almost instantly, helping us "old folks" figure out things like internet connections and smart tv's. Only complaint...the weather was abysmal but that only made this great home more relevant. Also take a moment to look up the history of the Willard area. Fascinating!

Lake House Living

Gorgeous property on Seneca lake. The views were amazing and the lake not very busy. The house itself had pretty much everything you need just like your own house, except a pitcher but we made it work! There are games galore inside and out plus the game room. You cannot be bored. The master bedroom was my favorite and I wanted to take it home.😊 Thank you so much Jill!!! It was just what the family wanted.

Beautiful home in FLX!

Thank you for a great week at the Finger Lakes. The house was perfect for our family. We each felt like we had our own private section of the house the way the bedrooms are spread out. The kitchen has all the amenities one could want. And the lakeside toys were plentiful. We enjoyed some beautiful sunsets on the pier. Highly recommended.

Home away from home

We just stayed at this property for a week with our family of 5( children 5, 6 and 8 years old), my parents and brother and his girlfriend. We were greeted with a lovely welcome basket, nice cold ac and a meticulous house. The house layout gave everyone their own space. It was perfectly equipped with everything we would need to prepare meals and be comfortable. The children LOVED the lake and the game room. It was truly the perfect place to call home for the week and retreat to after exploring the beautiful finger lakes. We biked from the property to Sampson state park, watched sunsets from the dock and enjoyed firepits under the stars. Jill was so easy to work with. Her house is truly a gem And we cannot wait to come back!

Beautiful, Well-Appointed Home

It is a beautifully maintained and furnished property directly overlooking the lake. There were lots of little extras that made the stay special such as quality toiletries and a generous welcome basket with snacks, wine gifts and a large bottle of wine. Kitchen supplies were of high quality and everything was well stocked including coffee and spices. The house had plenty of room for three adult couples as each of us had our own floor and bathroom. It's a great place for those with extended families. It was too cold and snowy to enjoy the outside decks, firepit and game room in the garage but the views were spectacular. Water sources and showers did emit a strong smell of sulphur. We utilized the water filter on the fridge door. For older people, the many sets of stairs may pose a problem. The owner Jill was very responsive and easy to book with. She didn't cut corners in making this a comfortable experience for guests. So many amenities to enjoy especially in warmer weather.

Great Holiday Break Getaway

The property is simply stunning. The finishes, furniture, and amenities are evocative of a very high quality home. The decor is fresh yet classic. No cheesy lake house/cottage vibes or smells here! It was incredibly clean upon arrival. The host puts a lot of thought into everything- we were even greeted with a sweet basket of goodies for New Year’s Eve! The game room was a great touch and full of high quality fun, but the lack of heat made it hard to enjoy in the winter when we stayed. It would be a huge attraction for kids in summer though! We stay in the FLX every New Year’s Eve and this house was the best one we’ve been to yet! Kudos to the host for her gorgeous place.

Amazing Thanksgiving!

The house was an incredible spot to celebrate my birthday, Thanksgiving, and to make special family memories on Seneca Lake. Everything was clean, and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was fully stocked and the beds were out of this world comfortable. Would definitely stay in the house again and hope to!! We had a fabulous family weekend at this home. When we entered the property we were greeted by a glowing fire in the fireplace and a beautiful welcome basket. The home was meticulously clean and beautifully decorated. Situated on the east side of the lake, the home takes advantage of the sunset with multiple patios, decks and expansive windows and doors. We also loved being right on Seneca Lake -just beautiful!! The owner was very attentive with making sure everything was satisfactory . . . Which of course it was beyond satisfactory! This is a very special property. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back!
