Our first stay in Orleans was great, and we plan to return next year. We wanted a walkable-to-the-beach listing, and this met almost all our criteria.Pros:* Unbeatable location* Fully stocked kitchen: plenty of pots and pans in multiple sizes, measuring cups, toaster oven, dual carafe/K‑Cup coffee maker with filters* Provided essentials: paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, dishwasher detergent, dish soap, sponge*Excellent water pressure at showers and sinks*Bedrooms were a good size and functional; beds a bit springy for our taste but comfortable, with abundant pillows, bedding, and towels*Full-size washer and dryer worked well*Large selection of games and puzzlesCons:*Only four AC units; during a heat wave it was hard to cool the house sufficiently. The host acknowledged this*Weak Wi‑Fi and spotty/no cell service; calls were unreliable and streaming could glitch. Functional but not ideal if you depend on connectivity. The host tried to boost service, which we appreciated. Notes:* The house is older but very clean and well maintained, we’d stay again in a heartbeat* Outdoor shower is cold water only* Limited pantry/storage for dry goods; the host is looking into a solution* Cell service is very limited with about a 1-mile radius from the beachOverall, a well-equipped, clean home in a superb location that made for a great Cape stay despite minor connectivity and heat-wave challenges.
