Perfect getaway for families. Awesome location for both Universal and Disney.

The home is stunning and clean! Literally smelled amazing when we walked in. Very inviting. Each bedroom was of great size. Dishwasher and laundry pods were provided and trash bags which was nice. The resort area for this home was awesome! The pool, lazy river, good food. I loved everything about our stay here. The location was perfect. Disney was really close and universal about 20 min or less. So many food and shopping opportunities near us as well. And restaurants. You won't go wrong with this home. We will stay again!

Nice Rental Close to the Parks – A Few Tips for Future Guests

We had a great stay at this VRBO in Storey Lake! The price was very reasonable, and the location was super convenient for getting to the parks. While there were a few times we had to wait at the security gate, we appreciated the added safety of being in a gated community.We came prepared knowing that the rental only included the bare minimum in terms of supplies (toilet paper, paper towels, travel-size shampoo, and a few trash bags), so we brought our own essentials like extra TP, trash bags, kitchen rags, laundry detergent, hand soap and shampoo.The kitchen was well-stocked and had everything we needed to cook, though it was missing measuring cups. I ended up buying a new set and left it in the rental for future guests. We also purchased a couple of adult-size white towels for one of the master bedrooms, as the towels provided were very small.The beds were super comfortable, which we really appreciated! The only downside was the very thin pillows, so we bought two king-size ones for one of the master rooms and left them behind for others to enjoy.Overall, we liked the home, the decor, and especially the location. We’d definitely stay here again. I’d just recommend that future guests come prepared with adult-size towels, comfortable pillows, and take a look at the list of provided items ahead of time so they know what to bring or pick up after arriving.

Great location

When we arrived there was someone inside taking pictures. It was very odd. We noticed the floors went cleaned and she called another cleaner to come and clean. The carpet wasn’t Vacuumed. Not enough towels for everyone. The ceiling was leaking in the laundry closest and my husband reached out and nobody responded. Finally they had someone come from maintenance. He waited hours at the house for his arrival. The pool chair was broken and we they didn’t replace it. Overall the location was great and the pools were fantastic!

Amazing property

We loved staying there. We each had our own rooms. The upstairs middle bathroom didnt have toilet paper. Extra blankets suggested. Sad the pool couldnt be heated. But lazy river was and we enjoyed!! Def would stay again!! Recommeded to all

The property was as posted onsite. The rooms were spacious. However, the shower pressure in all bathrooms was very low the water was cold all the time. I cleaned before we left, I pulled the sheets from the beds that where used during our stay and I washed and folded all towels and left them on the dry only to be told by their clean crew that 1 king sheet, 1 pillowcase and 1 towel was stained and they were charging me 119 of my 200 deposit. That is a LIE and I want my deposit back. I have rented from VRBO for over 15 yrs and I have never left the property damaged in any way. I have always cleaned up and washed, removed the trash, cleaned the refrigerator. I want my deposit back.

Family Gathering

The property was well kept and large enough for our family including children and grandchildren. We all loved the Water Park and the swimming pool just down the street. We only used the pool at the house once. There were some items not available which made fixing meals vert difficult. We were there to celebrate a 50th birthday and Thanksgiving. Regarding the above rating for property manager, we had no interaction with Property Manager. Short on these supplies for the kitchen: dish towel - 1 only kitchen mitt - 1 only storage containers - 0 - We desperately needed containers to store food/leftovers wine bottle opener - 0 plastic glasses -0 It would be nice to have these available for use around the pool and for some of the children.

Fabulous Holiday

We had another fabulous stay in Florida, never disappoints! Thought we would try Storey Lake as the lazy river appealed and we wanted to try somewhere to bring the grandkids in the future. Accommodation was lovely, clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Only thing which was disappointing was the outside furniture was not at all like in photos (please update) as the photos of that were partly why we chose this house. Bought a couple of cushions to make it more comfortable for our stay. Apart from that great stay, good location and lovely community with clubhouse. Wonder Vacation Homes provided great support, always responded to questions and provided all the info we needed.

Prefect home base for Moms and Teens

This property was a perfect home base for our group of moms and teens. We were in town for a week of competition. It provided a great place for some to work throughout the week and the ability to relax after a long day of competition for the teens. Thank you for the great stay! Difficult to deal with!

Our ultimate stay at these facilities was wonderful, the amenities were great but, Wonder Vacations was awful to deal with. The communication was highly poor. Upon checking in we were to receive towels, hand towels, and was clothes for every guest (the house was for 12 guests) they gave us 6 towels multiple floor mats and no wash rags then charged me for mascara on the hand towels which would of not happened if was rags were provided. And they charged me for additional towels stating they were stained. They charged me for a pan that was damaged that I bought myself bc the pots and pans were awful to cook with. The couch was broken down and uncomfortable, the dining room table rocked, the ice maker was a pain and didn’t produce very much ice, the pool area is tiny and the pictures make it look huge.

Wonder Vacations did a good job overall. Home had several marks on walls. Dryer took 4 hrs for 1 load. AC couldn’t keep up. For 7 days, @ 8 people, more trash bags and paper towels could have been left. It would also be nice to have some other cleaning product available during stay. Woman at check in to resort pool area was not very friendly. We checked into pool on Monday, May 27th @ 11ish. Parking was great, gate attendant was respectful. Overall we had a great stay.

Great rental for a family visiting both amusement parks

We stayed here with multiple parts of our family gathering to go to Universal Studios. The large dining room table may be the best feature of the house, it allows everyone to get together and chat. The house is about 30 to 40 minutes away from Universal, and 20 to 30 minutes away from Disney World. The only downside of the house IMO is the traffic it takes to get to the I-4 corridor. Do not be turned away by any negative reviews, our communication with the rental group was exceptional and we did not have any strange charges or issue getting into the property on time.

Not Worth The Headaches - Never Again

Let me list the ways in order of headaches - the big stuff towards the end which includes disputing fraudulent charges. 1) WVH asks you to email a front & back photo of your credit card via email w/no secure link. Horrible practice. Don't do it. 2) Excessive amount of reminders. Even though you have completed the steps. 3) "Queens" are FULLS. 4) Only 8 towels - sleeps 12. 5) At arrival it was noticed that the back slider could not be locked, nor could back cage screen. I emailed, texted & called once we discovered - no response. Two adults stayed up all night to ensure safety of other guests & children. My husband ran at 6am to Home Depot to purchase a secondary lock. WVH never followed up on the calls, texts or emails. I followed up at 11a. Was told it would be fixed. We had no choice but to accept them to enter the property w/our belongings w/o us there. Heard nothing. Called at 5p - was told it was taken care of. It was lockable when we returned that evening. 6) We checked out on a Sat and on Wed we received notification that they would be not refunding $340.50 from our refundable deposit due to "damage" of a bathroom water faucet. WVH home claims that their plumber was able to determine that there was a trap leak due to the handle being forced. WVH refused to provide receipt or work order. VRBO cannot help you w/WVH properties. Had to dispute fraudulent charges with cc company. Just not worth it! I'll never rent if property mgmt company attached to a property.

Poor Communication with Hosts and property Managers

First of all, I will say the place overall was cute! Beds were comfy, couch and seating was nice. The pool was smaller than it appeared in pictures and the hammock pictured wasn’t there, which was a little disappointing. Our main issue however was with the communication between there is property managers and us. Our first morning there we realized the coffee maker wasn’t working. It only dribbled and produced less than 1/4 cup over 3 hours. We contacted the company about that and the bathroom outlets not working. We didn’t hear back for over 3 hours and they asked if they could send someone over. We said yes, we would be back in 20 min. Long story short, no one came or responded to my texts asking where they were. We finally realized there was a GFCI in the downstairs bathroom (none of the upstairs bathrooms had them)and we reset that and the upstairs outlets finally worked. I’m pretty sure it’s against code to not have GFCI outlets in bathrooms/kitchens. The communication was non existent or made no sense. The English was broken. They kept texting me saying “we fixed it. Fixed Brusseau”. But they didn’t fix anything! Their communication was so sketchy we told them we didn’t want them in the house without us present. Every email or text I sent, it seemed that they did not actually read what I said. They never responded appropriately. The house was fine, but I would not recommend staying here because of the management.

Overall good choice

The property was great. However, my two complaints would be 1- getting into the property took well over 30 min each time due to the bottle neck at the facility entrance. 2- the online check in and loop required to receive the door code we’re a bit much.

Summer Vacation

The house was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The pool gate was a little tough to use, but understandable to keep small children safe. Did not use the community pool or other facilities, but the private pool was great and loved by the kids. Would stay again the next time we are in the area.
