**Unit 5 Stars****Pool/Lazy River 3 Stars**This was our first stay at Storey Lake Resort. We chose this particular unit because of our larger party size and the family-friendly amenities the resort offers. The unit itself exceeded expectations — beautiful, spacious, clean, and thoughtfully organized with everything we needed.**A few things to know before you go:**The Hideaway Club is the resort's clubhouse, featuring the pool, lazy river, waterslides, splash pad, spa, bar, and grill — a great setup for family fun. One thing worth flagging: the "no coolers or outside food/drinks" policy is strictly enforced. From their website:"A Friendly reminder that there is NO ALCOHOL, outside foods or drinks allowed. No Cups, Bottles, Tumblers (Yeti, Stanley, etc.) or Coolers are allowed so please leave them at your unit or in your vehicle."We brought our Yeti water cups in without any issue, though we did see several guests turned away at the door for bringing coolers. The pool area has nice music playing throughout, though it's paired with a recurring loudspeaker announcement reminding guests of the rules. It felt like a bit much and took away from the relaxed pool atmosphere — something the resort might consider dialing back.
