Please read and beware

I have booked with VRBO dozens of times this has been one of the worst places that I have ever stayed. Besides being stuck on the elevator for 25 minutes and having to be rescued by the fire department at the condo(not the units fault) but still annoying. The condo has been renovated and looks cute in the pics, but definitely needs to be deep cleaned, mold surrounded vents and bathtubs in the bathroom. I had to call and specifically request a new shower curtain due to mold residue. Half our the outlet plugs didn’t work in the kitchen. Another problem is that you only get 2 parking passes (which you have to purchase when you get there) beware they are not included with the total. We were told we would have to park our 3rd vehicle down the road somewhere. Needless to say I will not be returning.

Great location but lacked in some areas of cleanliness

Great location and size. The indoor pool/hot tub is located in the parking lot in a separate building. The outdoor pool is a little small. All pools and hot tubs could use a cleaning. We saw people dump chemicals in but nothing else. The water in all pools is pretty cloudy. The bathroom shower curtain was moldy on the upper part. There was sand under the fitted sheet on the king bed.

Excellent view, clean updated property

We would definitely stay here again. The location was great, the ocean view was excellent. Only disappointment was the outdoor pool wasn't heated. Ease of access to everything was good as well.

Our room was very nicely decorated. And fit our families well! It was a great vacation!! Wish there was an outdoor hot tub. The floor wasn’t the cleanest when we arrived, had to buy our own cleaning supplies to clean the floor.

Family friendly!!

Property itself was very lovely, and maintained nicely. The condo was nice and spacious for the 8 of us. Bathrooms could use some extra attention from the cleaning company, and the basketball court could be maintained a little better. The condo is conveniently located to shopping and adventure zones for the kids! We found so many shells along the beach! The indoor/outdoor options for pools was my kids favorite! There is construction going on right now, starts at 8 am and then lasts nearly all day. Very very loud. The condo itself didn’t have any options for plates/cup for kids. Everything was breakable and glass. There were no option for beach/sand toys for kids either, which I’ve never encountered with a condo!

It was dirty and had no drapes to cover the large window in the living area. I had to clean the bathroom floor before we could use it. The worst part was that the condo had a bad smell.

Windward Pointe under construction should not have been listed for rental

It was awful. Construction going on all day. Drilling. Workers on Scaffolding going up and down pass the balcony and at one time on balcony checking it. Walk to beach was unsafe in my opinion because of cover constructed to walk under because of falling debris. Couldn’t use any swimming pools or balcony. Won’t be going back because we were not told construction would be going on. Inside of condo was nice and clean but outside wasn’t.

Horrible construction

There was no information given at time of booking that there was construction going on. I heard from some friends and had to reach out to Beachball Properties to confirm what was going on. All they sent was the scope and sequence from the construction company. Thankfully my husband works construction and was able to understand it. We would not agree with the schedule they gave us and the schedule they were actually working on. I received this information the day before our 30 day full refund expired. This did not allow enough time to find a different place to rent. When we arrived there was only 1 working elevator that had an hour wait. My son's carried our luggage 9 flights of stairs to our unit. Thankfully they are young and able. The elevator certificate of operation was expired. It had expired in Jan. One elevator worked the entire time we were there. Walking into our unit we were welcomed by 3 construction workers standing on our balcony. I understand they have to do their jobs but there were no blinds in the living room to pull for privacy. The noise from the construction was horrible. It was so loud in our room you could not have a conversation without yelling. It would start at 8 am and go until 5 pm. We were not able to use the balcony at all! I paid for a beachfront view so I could enjoy the beach on my balcony. Very disappointed that the pool was not able to be used as well. My youngest prefers to swim in the pool than the ocean. Again paid for an amenity that was not available. The parking was a hot mess. We had to pay online for our 2 spots. Online it stated the passes were $35 each and we had to pay $45 each. I did call Beachball Properties about my complaints. They directed me to call thr HOA about the parking the number they gave me was the wrong one. Called back they gave me a new number. The person I spoke to at that number said they didn't even have anything to do with this specific property. Called back to Beachball and they just decided to refund me the $30 which is what should have happend in the beginning. On Tuesday of our vacation they did send someone to hang a curtain that we could pull for privacy in the living room. So very upset on how the condo turned out. We have rented numerous places in Orange Beach and have never had this bad of experience. Very disappointed in the amount of money we spent on a place that we could not fully enjoy.
