This 4th floor beach themed unit is nicley decorated with a new sofa sleeper and love seat in the living room. There are flat screen TV's in the living room, beachside master bedroom and guest bedroom. There is a fully equipped kitchen to pepare meals and you will enjoy the amazing view from the gulf front balcony just off ot the living room. Sunswept is situated directly on the sugar-white beach that separates you from the emerald green waters of the Gulf of Mexico. This Orange Beach condo is just six miles east of Gulf Shores, Alabama. You will find modern shopping facilities directly across the street. Churches, 10 first class golf courses, and fishing are only a short drive away.

On the beach

Our stay was great. The location was perfect as far as beach access & to all the restaurants/shops/grocery stores. Our condo was clean, but was a little outdated. It had everything we needed though. We would definitely stay here again.

Great condo, as advertised

Had a great stay in SunSwept 407! Appeared clean when we arrived and had everything we needed. Selected it because we had family staying at the condo next door. There were some things that could use some maintenance like light bulbs out, lamp broken in second bedroom but all minor. The king bed in master was super comfortable, which is rare in a beach condo. They did a great job updating the master shower. Property company is on site and great to work with. I would recommend this unit.

In depth review meant to be helpful

First, I want to say that this review is not meant to be super critical. I make decisions such as our vacation location based solely on reviews. I think they are vital and appreciated. I will say that we will stay here again because the location of the condo to amenities was great and the condo location itself within the complex was fantastic, especially with kids. What first caught our attention was the thermostat falling off the wall. Thankfully, it still worked but it hung there the entire week. I think "fully equipped kitchen" is very relative. Were there enough plates, utensils and glasses for our party? Yes. But we found ourselves making a run to Walmart for some basic items we needed such as containers since we had leftovers and I made various sandwich salads. There was a keurig which was unexpected and a nice touch. There were no coat hangers and no hand towels. NONE. Yet another run to Walmart. The towels, washcloths and bed linens were brand new, straight out of the package and from the store. This felt very unsanitary since the washcloths probably came from an open shelf at the Dollar Store. The morning after our arrival I had to strip all beds and wash all bathing essentials. Not really what you want to do on day one of your vacation. The washing machine is LOUD. I mean LOUD. You will not want to run this while anyone is sleeping/napping. The master bathroom shower was renovated and oversized which was very nice. However, the curtain rod was pulling out of the wall and we had to keep pushing it back in to prevent the entire rod and curtain from falling. An easy fix, but given what we paid, I would like things to not be falling off the walls. The master mattress was comfortable. Not too firm and not to soft, which was nice for our 40-ish something year old backs. Both bedrooms were a nice size. The furniture in the living room was extremely worn. Slip covers would fix this because they did not feel as though they were saggy and old. The condo complex was dense, only 8 floors, which meant the beach was never ridiculously crowded. The condo location was right across from walmart which meant a quick walk, if inclined to do so (or when having to go 5 times). We were only about 10-15 minutes from some of our favorite restaurants which was nice at the end of the day. Overall, this was an average condo for the price. Just make sure you pack the listed essential items (IMO) accordingly.
