Welcome to Hellehuset – a charming and fully renovated half-timbered cottage with a traditional thatched roof, located in the heart of the cozy village of Bybjerg on Orø. Here, you can enjoy a unique combination of authentic village charm, modern comfort, and the relaxed island atmosphere that helps you unwind from the moment you arrive.



The house is designed for two guests and offers everything needed for a comfortable stay, including a heat pump, washing machine, wireless WiFi, and TV with built-in Chromecast. One dog is welcome, provided it is not left alone in the house.



A cozy enclosed courtyard invites you to enjoy the morning sun with views of the village church, while the evening sun creates the perfect setting for long summer evenings of relaxation and togetherness.



Hellehuset is located next to the historic inn, the church, and the old village school, which together form the center of Bybjerg’s vibrant village life.



The inn is a natural gathering place on the island and serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Throughout the year, various events are organized, including courtyard concerts, communal dining, bingo evenings, and other activities for both residents and visitors. Just behind the inn lies Stensbjergbakken, the highest point on Orø. From here, you can experience some of the island’s most beautiful sunsets overlooking the landscape and the fjord.



A short walk away, you will find Bings, a popular meeting place for both locals and visitors. Depending on the season and opening hours, you can buy freshly baked bread, enjoy lunch, or have dinner here. Bings adds a modern touch to village life and makes it easy to treat yourself during your holiday.



Orø is a gem in the middle of Isefjord and is often called “the little island that has it all.” Here you will find natural beaches, beautiful forests, charming farm shops, local artisans, excellent dining options, and an active local community.
