The space is small, but it had everything we needed. The kitchen was large enough to fix our breakfast and store leftovers. We appreciated all the items available from a chip clip to the cooler and beach chairs and umbrella. The beach on lake Michigan is beautiful and we enjoyed kayaking on Portage lake. Onekama has a lot to offer for a small town, including live music on Mondays, a good coffee shop and a few dining options.

We loved our stay in the Beech Lodge! My husband and I have been ending our summer with a trip to Michigan for the last 8 years, but this was our first time staying in Onekama. It’s nestled between Manistee and Arcadia, so it works well as a resting place for day trips to nearby areas, but we had no reason to leave. Between the pool access, Portage Lake access, and Lake Michigan beach access, we were just steps away from any water source we wanted. I enjoyed relaxing and reading my book without the crowds and hassle of driving to a destination. We will absolutely stay again. The space itself is cozy, perfect for two people.

We were able to check in a wee bit early at this adorable studio that was so complete with amenities and IKEA supplied and decorated with anything you could need. With only one little exception… we struggled with the tv remote to work effectively until we replaced the two AAA batteries and whala!! It worked perfectly even though we didn’t watch too much tv. The pool was perfect. Access to Lake Michigan around the corner. The band on Saturday night was rock’in!!

Family getaway to Beech Loft

The Beech Loft had everything we needed, plus more. It was a cozy place and close to all the amenities Portage Point Inn has to offer. We utilized the full kitchen, loved the balcony and all the extra beach accessories to use - including kayaks!

Owners were super helpful and active when it came to information that we needed. This is the perfect little gateway I will say it would be super hard to sleep more than 2 people in the condo - but seriously loved the view and area. Great views.

This place was cute but moving furniture and pulling the bed down to go to sleep was a bit much for me (64 years old). Loved the deck and privacy. The host, Kathy was great. Great location, loved the pool and being so close to Lake MI. Overall really enjoyed my stay!

Small but mighty!

This is a studio space but packs a lot into it, including a great deck with a grill. Also is a wonderfully equipped entry hall with beach stuff, a wheeled cooler and beach towels. The kitchen has everything you need, with a cute retro look little fridge with freezer and microwave. Would definitely stay here again!

Nice space with great views.

This is a great spot for one or two people, right on Portage Lake. Enjoyed the kayaks, and the loft came with some other useful things as well, like beach chairs and a cooler. Just an hour drive from Traverse City and the Sleeping Bear Dunes. Glen Arbor and Glen Haven are also a must!

Girls trip

A friend and I took a week long girls trip and stayed here. This was a perfect place for the 2 of us. It had all the activity tools we needed as out of town era so we could go beach to beach with the chairs, umbrella and cooler. It was absolutely peaceful and comfortable in the condo! Thank you!

Perfect for 2

This amazing studio was the perfect size for me and my girlfriend. We stayed here to go to crystal mountain to snowboard. It’s in a quaint location and a 2-3 minute walk away from public Lake Michigan beach access.We were able to drive into Manistee and Traverse City for dinner. The studio itself was so clean and nicely decorated. We loved it!!
