Our recent stay at this Vacasa property was unfortunately a significant letdown, plagued by a multitude of maintenance and cleanliness issues that severely impacted our experience. We strongly advise prospective renters to look elsewhere until these critical problems are resolved.
Upon arrival, the first thing we noticed was the ridiculously filthy carpet, which desperately needs to be replaced. It was stained and unsanitary, making it uncomfortable to walk on. This immediately set a negative tone for our stay. On the second day of our rental, Vacasa staff contacted me that they were scheduled to clean the carpet on that day. Which means the carpet was never cleaned prior to our arrival.
The house overall needed a thorough cleaning. It felt as though only a superficial pass had been made, if that, leaving us to question the hygiene standards of the property.
Further inspection revealed numerous other problems:
The front door knob was loose, raising immediate safety and security concerns.
There were multiple markings and scuffs on the walls throughout the home, indicating a lack of care and upkeep.
The kitchen sink was leaking at its base, creating a wet and unhygienic area that we had to constantly manage.
Both the blinds in the twin bunkbed bedroom and the living room were broken, compromising privacy and making it difficult to control light.
The pull-out couch was broken, rendering it unusable as an additional sleeping space, and the mattress it contained was extremely thin, offering no comfort whatsoever. Guest 10 and 11 had to sleep on the floor.
Basic amenities were missing; there was no extra toilet paper provided and no paper towels in the kitchen, forcing us to go out and purchase these essentials ourselves immediately.
Given the price point and the expectation of a well-maintained vacation rental, the condition of this property was unacceptable. We hope Vacasa addresses these numerous issues promptly to prevent future guests from having such a disappointing experience.
