« Such a gorgeous location. I’m always skeptical with places like this but the setup which Bridgette and the team have made here is absolutely phenomenal. The weekend was so relaxing with the sauna, steam shower, hot tub and ice bath. The hosts filled the ice bath up with fresh ice at a moment’s notice so it was always a low temperature when we needed it. « These were cute little cabins, rustic, but clean and tidy with everything there for staying for awhile. AC too. We were on the water and the geese welcomed us in the morning! The cabin had a screened in porch with comfy chairs. There was a nice little beach with kayaks to use, a fire pit and firewood for each cabin. The bed was comfy. It was nice and we would definitely visit again. »

« Hosts were very nice and property was beautiful! The lake view was amazing and serine. There were 4 adults visiting family locally and plenty of room! There was security doors which made us feel safe! My only recommendation is the beds were like sleeping on a sidewalk! When staying away from home, it is hard to sleep, so a more comfortable mattress would have been nice. »

« I've booked quite a few trips using VRBO and the Barnstead Depot is hands down the best place we've stayed. The setting is peaceful, the depot is lovely - I even love the heron wallpaper. We arrived on a HOT summer day and the a/c was on and it was nice and cool inside. The kitchen is well equipped and even has ice cream cones in the freezer. Next we stay there I'm going to plan to come in the fall when the leaves are turning. Thanks again! »

« It was a nice stay, close to Shibleys for dining out, mooring for our boat rental was convenient, and the home was spacious for all 8 of us. The owner was immediately responsive to our questions and the house met all of our needs. Highly recommend! »
