« Absolutely incredible location with a modern, new ‘cabin’…ice cold A/C!Thayer Lake access on property allowed for kayaking in easy water. There’s a Torch Lake beach about 3 minutes away for swimming etc. We enjoyed The Muffin Tin in Alden!The owners were great to communicate with and work with. « It was a cozy little place to stay. There was barely any light in the living room/dining area, so doing a puzzle required borrowing a lamp from the bedroom. The double bed was extremely uncomfortable, because it went down in the middle, so no matter what we did, we ended up falling into the middle and having to sleep right up next to each other. A few more things were troubling— one of the dining room chairs in particular was so rickety we thought it could break so we tried not to use it. ...
