Villa's in Nicaragua

'This self-acclaimed hotel closed a year ago in a totally run-down state. Some four months ago it was bought by a new (US citizen) owner who is trying to rebuild the place. Currently there is one room that looks quite okay, however there is no reception, no personnel apart from a local housekeeper. The problem starts with the entrance. 'Incredible stay at Christine’s home in Masachapa! The pool and outdoor areas are amazing. The sunset views were incredible. We got massages on site and took an ATV tour along the beach and to a waterfall. Dolores cooked for us 3 days, lunch and dinner, and those were the best meals - so delicious. We did 2 day trips to Ometepe Island and to Masaya Volcano. Glad we did it but lots of driving for short visits. Can’t wait to visit again!'

Once there the vibes were great, really relaxed and amazing setting close to the sea. The accommodation itself is awesome- super high quality, everything has been done to a really high spec. 'We were in San Juan del Sur for our daughter’s wedding. Casa Serena ticked all the boxes for us. Lots of space for family aged 1 to 71. Fantastic outdoor areas (we spent most of our free time outside at the pool area). Lovely sunset views. Easy walk along the beach to town. Well equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds. 'We were a big group of 8 people. My family and I had a wonderful stay. The listing was very accurate and communicating with everyone was very easy. The location was excellent as we were literally on the beach. Waking up in the morning to the Ocean view and hearing the waves at night, were AWESOME. I highly recommend this home. '
