Been to Viking many times over the years but not recently. It was OK but where were all the guests. Seemed to be more dogs (which is OK) than guests. Perhaps because I only stayed one night on Friday of Memorial Day. Room, I had was clen and everything functioned but seems to be outdated. The shower did not work properly in my daughter's room. Everyone was nice and friendly especially the valet staff. The $45 valet fee is ridicules (used to be$30). Breakfast was good and at a decent price, but service was not good. Supposedly short-staffed but no excuse. Staff seemed disjointed and usually get coffee right away, but it came with the meal. Perhaps I am being picky, but this is not what I am used to.

Luxury prices for a very average hotel. AC didn’t work and you have to request for a small fridge in the room. I didn’t know this and we had to toss out our food.

Liked the cleanliness and spaciousness of the room. Also liked the lovely neighborhood and the walkability to restaurants and sights. Did not like the extremely small bathroom.

I was concerned because of the mixed reviews when I booked the trip but I was very pleasantly surprised that everything added up to a 5 star hotel. From walking in the door on arrival to checking out, our experience was perfect for an anniversary weekend. Thank you!

Highly recommended The Viking. Location is superb, staff was very friendly. Lobby area is beautiful and up to date. Our room was very comfortable and clean however rooms and hallway could use a little TLC

Couple days We enjoyed hospitality of Viking hotel…the room was clean and comfortable. The staff nice polite.

Overall a bit pricey for the condition of the room, but I know you are paying for the location. The beds were comfortable, but the rooms are definitely dated and need some refreshing. The bathroom fixtures in particular need an update. The handles on the faucet were loose and both came off at times. Staff were friendly and helpful and the location is very convenient for walking to sites, shopping, and dining.

Brian at the front desk was amazing, very helpful and kind. The spa was absolutely incredible. The room was awful. Sheets on one of the beds were dirty and the beds were beyond uncomfortable. Neither of us slept ( 2 queen room) You couldnt move without noise from the box spring and mattress. We had to leave after the first night. We noticed as we were leaving brand new mattresses being brought into the hotel. They waited way too long to replace them.

Did not like that hotel has valet-only option for car parking at $45 per night. I parked on the adjacent street 1 block away for zero cost!!

I called in advance to make sure I could bring my mom’s birthday cake into the bar area … when I called they said they would have everything I needed plates forks a knife… when the time came they said they couldn’t provide any of these things … it was my moms 70th birthday… very disappointing
