The Space:

Working in Newcastle, moving up north, or need somewhere while your home is being fixed? This house gives you room to spread out and feel settled, whether you're here for a few nights or a few months 🙌 The whole house is yours, with nothing shared and no other guests coming and going.



🛏️ The bedrooms

Bedroom 1: king bed 👑

Bedroom 2: double bed (we can swap it for two singles, just ask before you arrive)

Bedroom 3: two single beds

Every room has comfy bedding and blackout curtains, so you can sleep well after a late shift or before an early start 😴 There's plenty of storage too, so you can unpack properly instead of living out of a suitcase.



🍳 The kitchen

The kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances, cookware and utensils, so you can cook proper meals instead of living on takeaways. On a longer stay, that saves you money and keeps you feeling good 💪 Tea, coffee and kitchen basics are ready for you when you arrive ☕



🛋️ Lounge and dining

The bright lounge has a comfy sofa and a big smart TV, perfect for switching off after a busy day 📺 There's a dining area too, so the whole group can sit down and eat together.

Fast WiFi and a dedicated workspace make video calls, emails and paperwork easy. It's ideal if you're splitting your time between site and laptop, or working remotely while you're here.

The Neighborhood:

Byker is a friendly, down-to-earth part of east Newcastle with a real sense of community 🤝 It's also home to the famous Byker Wall, a colourful 1970s housing estate that's now a listed landmark and a favourite with architecture fans.



🎨 Ouseburn Valley

Just down the hill is the Ouseburn, Newcastle's creative quarter. It's full of independent pubs, live music venues, artists' studios and a little city farm 🐐 Don't miss Seven Stories, the national centre for children's books, or a tour of the Victoria Tunnel, a Victorian wagonway that became a wartime air raid shelter.



🌉 The Quayside

A short walk or ride away, the Quayside is where you'll find the famous Tyne bridges, the Baltic art gallery and The Glasshouse music venue. On Sundays, the riverside fills with a busy market selling street food, crafts and local produce 🛍️



🌳 Green spaces

Heaton Park and the leafy woodland walks of Jesmond Dene are close by, great for a morning run or a weekend stroll. You can follow the Ouseburn all the way up through the parks.



⚽ Matchdays and nights out

St James' Park is a short Metro ride away for Newcastle United games, and the city centre has some of the best nightlife in the UK 🎉

The local high street, about 5 minutes' walk away, has supermarkets, cafés, takeaways and everything you need for day-to-day life.



Getting Around:

🚇 Metro

Byker Metro Station is about a 5 minute walk away. Trains run straight into the city centre in a few minutes, and you can ride out to the coast at Tynemouth and Whitley Bay for fish and chips by the sea 🐟



🚆 Trains

Newcastle Central Station is around 10 minutes by car. From there, you've got direct trains to London, Edinburgh, York and beyond.



✈️ Airport

Newcastle Airport is around 20 minutes by car. You can also get there by Metro with one change in the city centre.



🚌 Buses

Local buses run from the high street nearby into the city centre and across Newcastle.



🚗 Driving and parking

There's free on-street parking right outside the house. You won't need a car for shops, cafés or the Metro, but it's there if you need it for work.

🏠 House rules

This is a quiet residential street, so there are no parties or events and no smoking inside. Please keep noise down in the evenings and be kind to our neighbours 🙏
