2/10 Horrible

It is illegal to have a short term rental in NYC. We learned this when we were told to meet on the corner in the snow as to not alert the front desk. We were rushed in a back entrance to avoid begin seen. As you can imagine this was very inconvenience with 4 suitcases and a 4 year old child. We were then sent a text from the cleaning person about specific instructions with our time there. Picture attached. If we would have know the unit we were in was illegal we would have never stayed there. Lying to the front desk every time we walked in became very nerve racking. Not to mention every closet door was broken, the towel bars were coming off the wall. One of the smoke detectors was missing and the vents had years of dust caked on them. This was possibly the worst experience i have ever had at a short term rental. I've alerted Vrbo that this unit is illegal and they don't seem to care.
