Exceptionnel!!
Patty est une hôte extraordinaire !!! tout était au delà de nos attentes, de la réservation à l'accueil sur le site tout était parfait. Les petites attentions à chaque coin de la maison sans oublier la bouteille de mousseux au frais en arrivant ;-) La maison est très bien équipée et d'une propreté remarquable. Vous ne manquerez de rien. Patty a pensé à tout même à ce que vous n'espériez pas!! Les kayaks, les gilets de sauvetage, les jeux extérieurs... mais aussi l'équipement intérieur! Je ne peux que recommander vivement cette propriété : vous ne serez pas déçus.

FABULOUS CABIN GETAWAY
Our family stayed for 2 nights and we had a fabulous time! Cabin is decorated beautifully with art pieces from local artists and has all the comforts of home. Could not have been more pleased with our weekend stay there. Even has an elevator!

Home on the bayou
Love, love this beautiful cabin! Check in was so easy, the cabin was clean and stocked with all the necessities and so many extras! While there are many attractions in the area, we most enjoyed relaxing by the bayou. We didn't want to leave and are already looking forward to another visit!

The cabin was everything described plus. Wonderful accommodations. The cabin was spectacular. Very roomy, the fireplace is spectacular and plenty of utensils, supplies, snacks etc. We will definitely be back for future visits.

Get away on the bayou
It was so relaxing. As a staycation we used the time to recharge our batteries. From the time we arrived we were amazed at everything that was in the cabin. When it was time to leave we didn’t want to. Already planning on the next time. This was so well worth it. Thank you !!!!

Road Trip 2023
This place far exceeded our expectations. Patti thought of everything to make our experience comfortable and enjoyable. It was such a pleasure to meet her and her husband. We so enjoyed the Annual Gumbo Festival, local restaurants with great food and music, Avery Island's Tabasco Plant tour, Jefferson Island/Rip Van Winkle Gardens and Restaurant, and, of course, Champagne's Cajun Swamp Tour. We always made sure we made time to get back to "The Cabin" to kick back enjoy the comfort and beauty of this wonderful location. Thank You, Patti. This destination was definitely a highlight of our 10,000+ mile journey around the US.

This place is perfect
We had a wedding at the nearby rip van Winkle gardens. This was a perfect spot, just 10 minutes away. We loved hanging out by the bayou and kayaking. The place is super comfortable, everything went smoothly. The loft was not hot, and we were there during a heat wave. I would recommend this place!!

Glad you were comfortable. Once I put that mini split system in the loft it keeps the place comfortable. Best investment ever! Thanks for staying with us.

Great escape

Loved our stay
We loved it. Very peaceful. My husband fished daily. Me and my oldest kayaked. Lots of wildlife. Close to town. Lots of room for a family of 5. Patti was very nice. Came over and asked if everything was good. Even after we left she gave us some tips about New Orleans. We will be going back.

Favorite place for us!
This is our 2nd stay in this extremely clean cabin! Patti is the absolute best to work with! She has thought of everything! We kayaked to Avery Island and back and saw a dozen alligators. Next time, probably just do one way! Everything was perfect!

Best Cabin Ever
Ok, let me just say that you are going to want to stay a week! The cabin is peaceful and charming. From the home made breakfast bread, to the complimentary bubbley, to phonograph, to the yummy tub, to the setting and comfy beds- you won’t want to go home. Also there’s more to do in the area than you can imagine. Go! Stay awhile and rest. When I go to visit family- my family will be coming back again and staying longer. A delight!

Hidden Gem on the Bayou
First let me say that Patti the owner was outstanding. She communicated regularly with us. Checked on us throughout the stay. Couldn’t have asked for a better host. The cabin is immaculate. It has everything anyone could possibly need for a great vacation. Conveniently located to the Tabasco Factory, Jefferson Island and so much more. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will definitely be making another trip in the future.

An exceptional place on the bayou and Patti has added “a little something extra” with the wonderful artwork, thoughtful touches such as snacks, makeup wipes and even a record player with Cajun records. Great indoor and outdoor spaces. Wish I had a chance to use the kayaks, but we were too busy enjoying the local attractions.

From the 5 stars, you can tell we had a good time here. In fact, this part of our vacation was the overall winner for the whole family. The hosts, Patti & Mitch Reed (no relation to us) were amazingly helpful & accommodating, really beyond anything I've experienced previously in years of staying in VRBOs & similar. The cabin & property are lovely. There are lots of very thoughtful little touches that really make the stay comfortable & personal, like a well-stocked kitchen with nice quality dish & cookware (no single-pot "kitchen" here!), fun books about the area, a record player with a jazz/zydeco library, & little provided extras like coffee pods & creamer that are so often BYO. The mattresses & linens were good quality & soooo comfortable. We loved the back deck right out on the water. Be aware, the upper loft can be noisy (creaky floor) to those in the master bedroom below & there is only one bathroom (across from the master, clearly stated in the description), but for our family of four this was a non-issue. We had a wonderful time & would very much like to return to this property!

Amazing rental
Even before we got there, Patti was extremely helpful in recommending things to do during our stay. And then throughout our stay she was on hand for any/all questions. As for the cabin…picture perfect with everything and anything you could need. It’s location was amazing, quiet and peaceful without being scary secluded. Close enough to all area locations without being overrun by touristy shenanigans. This place, our host and the location well exceeded our expectations. Our little winter break vacation was perfect!

Bayou Paradise!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Patti’s cabin! Exceptionally clean and just as advertised. Our cabin had everything we needed and more- from bug spray to bath bombs for soaking in the big tub- Patti had it all! Loved sitting on the deck by the bayou and watching the sun rise and set. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience and absolutely loved touring all of the places that Patti had listed.
