'Hostal Rio Amazonas is in een leuk oud koloniaal gebouw met charme. Het heeft een gezellige , kleine patio waar je kunt ontbijten etc. De staf is heel aardig en behulpzaam. De ligging is handig om de stad te verkennen. Het ligt aan een drukke weg met dag en nacht veel voorbijrazend verkeer. Er zijn gelukkig wel dubbele ramen waardoor je weinig last hebt van het verkeerslawaai of vraag om een kamer, die niet aan de straat ligt. Verwacht alleen geen moderne luxe, ook gaan airco's. Hotel zelf is oase van rust, erg nette kamers en voor ons na lange vlucht heerlijke plek om bij te komen. Balie personeel heel erg behulpzaam.'

'If you are coming to Santiago you MUST stay here! The area is the best in Santiago - we felt so safe and there were so many walkable options for food and drink around. The hotel was spotlessly clean. Breakfast in the morning was fantastic - it is offered in the cafe just under the hotel. The guys on reception, Francis and Nicholas, are amazing. So kind, patient and go above and beyond. There is no lift in the hotel but they assisted us with luggage up and down. I couldn’t recommend this hotel...
