I rated it terrible mainly because the hotel manager Nigel. This man was very rude and completely not suitable or competent for his position. I booked 4 nights from February 21-25. After we checked in 10 minutes my daughter found a live maggot on the bed sheet. I wasn’t in the room as I was down there in the lobby. My daughter sent me the pic and I sent to the staff. The booking initially was non refundable, the front staff and the housekeeper manager were nice they apologized for what happened and offered me another room. They explained this never happened before and don’t know where it came from but it might dropped off from the ceiling. However with what happened we just couldn’t sleep in that hotel again so we decided to leave. The front desk staff said the manager Nigel has left for the day but he’ll be in tomorrow and tomorrow he’ll review the incident and there shouldn’t be a problem with the refund. Even one of the staff said she would leave if it’s her with that situation. However the next day Nigel refused to give the refund, he even said “if there’s a maggot then why you daughter still lay on that bed?”. I couldn’t believe he would say like this. This man has no heart he said he protect the hotel image so he denied it, Marriott should let this man go he did no good for the company name.
