2024 Fun in the Sun

We had a great time at the resort and beach. My granddaughter was with us, she slept on the sofa bed. When we opened it up we found dirt and holes in the mattress cover which I removed. The bath tub was also not as clean as I would like so I bought some cleaner and cleaned it before we showered. But overall we were very pleased with the room.The views were awesome and the amenities great. We would definitely recommend and come back. mattress ⁰

Housekeeping problems!

The room is shown accurately and is so cute and great views of the ocean. Lots of items to use for your stay and in good condition. That’s the good. Check the room first. Do a thorough inspection. We had urine saturated into the bottom of the toilet and aurrounding floor. It stunk to high heaven and had been there awhile. Check the pillows and linen. I smelled something around our bed and pulled out a pillow from the pillow case that had a huge urine stain on it. The shower liner was covered in mold. Lastly, do yourself a favor and take every utensil, plate, bowl, frying pan, etc and run them through the dishwasher. They leave it up to the guests to clean after ourselves and housekeeping doesn’t check apparently. We pulled out plastic cups that smelled awful and was caked with stale old residue of chocolate ice cream. Elliot rental took care of everything quickly but housekeeping had to be called a second time to clean the bathroom for a third time. They wiped up the area of the urine stain and left the other side untouched. Lastly, our room was broken into and one of my rings and debit card was stolen. There is no safe for us to store our valuables safely. We were at the beach, came inside to shower and change for the beach and I noticed my ring missing. We looked for it and I said for us to just go on to the restaurant and I would look better when we got back. When I went to pay for the meal, my debit card was gone. $2,000 racked up in an hour. No apology from Elliot

Bath and furniture need an upgrade

You enter the lobby through the garage, which seems a bit dangerous with car traffic and was certainly filthy. There is the heavy smell of marijuana coming from the elevators and on each floor. There is far too much furniture in this unit and all of the furniture needs to be removed or upgraded with the bed probably being the worst. I shared it with my daughter, and we both sunk to the middle every night. The pillows are 2 inches thick at best. There were more of the same in the closet, but they were disgusting, smelly, and stained .The cleanliness of this unit was subpar at best. There was hair and sand on the floor, dust and hair stuck to the windowsill all around the bed, just inches away from your head on the pillow, and the bathroom is disgusting. There was mold and mildew throughout the tub/shower .Certainly not somewhere you would want to place a child for a bath. Otherwise, the kitchenette was very clean.There is a balcony which faces the ocean, but it is extremely small and you can only see straight ahead unless you lean over the banister. There are no beach towels or chairs to use with the rental of this unit. A Walmart is just a five minute walk away with chairs, umbrellas, and towels for less than what they charge for you to rent two junk chairs and umbrella on this beach. Also, cabbies and shopkeepers warned us to be very careful in the area. We will not return.

Perfect Couples Getaway

Beautiful and clean little unit with private balcony with perfect view of ocean on the 3rd floor. The pool and 3 hot tubs were very relaxing. My husband and I went for a quick weekend getaway and we had a great time. I wake up early to walk the beach with the sunrise but my husband was hoping to sleep in. His only complaint was that once the sun came up it got very bright and warm, he suggested optional black out curtains. I would definitely stay here again!

Exceeded expectations

I was a little nervous after I booked this resort, after reading the reviews on the PALACE RESORT main website !! However I was pleasantly surprised ! The unit itself was absolutely perfect, it was warm , inviting, and clean! Plenty of extra bed linens ,pillows, blankets, and towels and wash cloths. Plenty of dishes in the full size kitchen, and the view was magical !! If I had to find something negative, it would be the strong aroma of marijuana in the halls, but once in our room, you couldn't smell it , I would most definitely book this unit again !!

Great coastal stay

The size of the room is cozy but for the amount of time staying it was fine! The view is great along with the shark tooth hunting found more this trip then ever! You are close to everything! The parking garage is ok I prefer not so far to pack your things in and out! The water pressure is great in the shower that’s always a plus when dealing with sand! The only con was the Wi-Fi password wasn’t posted and tv never worked while we were there not where there any instructions on how to get it to the right input to watch tv! The kitchen was great newer appliances and nice clean counters! Overall it was a great stay if you rent through the resort itself u get access to the water park next door that was disappointing that we could not get into it since we booked through Elliott!! Sunrise was gorgeous!

Great for price

It was a great place directly on the beach. You pay for what you get as far as the size. It would have been nice if it was a smart TV instead since it is 2023 so we could use streaming services as opposed to cable to fill the night. The boardwalk and amusement park is about a mile walk which isn't bad, we walked on the beach for the most part to get there. We enjoyed it though check out instructions and cleaning instructions were a little vague.

A little disappointed

We have stayed at the Palace for years. We typically use the same person to rent from but had to use Elliott this year for waiting so last minute to book. I didn't like having to stop by the office to check in, we are used to showing up and putting in a door code when we arrive. The room was set up like the others we stay in, however the shower curtain had some gunky residue on it and the bed comforter had what looked like a blood stain. We also were disappointed that beach chairs and toys were not provided. In the other condos we stay in all of that has always been provided and we never had to bring it or buy it. The one thing I didn't like the most was cleaning. We typically pay a cleaning fee and all we have to do is strip the beds. We had to clean, sweep, mop, do the dishes and put them away basically do house keeping's job. For the price it's better for us to use the person we usually use. Also, for pool access you have to wear an arm band, we are used to that but with other companies if you lose yours it's insanely cheaper with this company it's 5 x's more! With an adhd 6 year old I refused to let him wear his. The place is nice, I think we were just overly spoiled by the other places.
