'David was very helpful, and he allowed us to use their microwave in the kitchenette! Location is great for Downtown Madison, great view of the lake. They provide suggestions for dinner, coffee shops and more!'

'I was not able to have breakfast, had an early morning flight. However check in was awesome, topped with excellent customer service. Spacious room for a quick stop or short stay when traveling with family. For longer stays, they have their little restaurant since the room doesn't have a full kitchen. The ambience in the lobby is ideal for relaxing etc. Love this hotel. My children did too.'

'Nice place to stay, central location and friendly staff. Only improvement would be to add more beds by the pool, because there were only 3 and a few tables but that’s very limited.'

'Loved it. There is the train but they supply earplugs, but everything about the hotel makes up for that small thing. Just texted to a friend that I would definitely stay there again. Loved everything about it!! Thank you Ruby Marie.. also, great breakfast!'

'Our room was clean, appointed with fun artwork that you can tear off and take with you. Didn’t use many amenities as we were in and out. We opted to park ourselves and it’s a short walk to the garage, so on a cold night it might be best to take advantage of the valet. The bar area is nice but it was busy and understaffed so we waited quite a while to be acknowledged. Once we placed our order, drinks were made well, the bartender was very nice but a bit overwhelmed and it showed. '

'Appreciate the lake view and the comforts of the historic home. David and Bob are wonderful hosts. They thought of everything and did a great job with the recent renovations. Nicely done!'

'Great location and close by to a lot of restaurants and excellent view of the Capitol or the lake from the hotel. The rooms were very nice and so were the staff. We used the restaurant for breakfast and the food was very good. We did not get a chance to use the bar but it had a lively atmosphere and was open until late.'
