'The property was as beautiful as it was in the pictures with lovely grounds and the hot tub was the icing on the cake. Unfortunately though, the outside of the property was swarming with wasps so unable to keep doors and windows open and nor could you fully relax in the hot tub. My partner got stung on the first night. Also there was a trap in the corner of the bedroom which made us feel uneasy sleeping at night. And the window above the bed did not have a blackout blind so was woken early...

'Lovely property tucked away in a rhral location.Only issue was the single track access roads with passing places which we are not used to.The host Lucy and her partner were welcoming and had plenty of advice on the local area.The surrounding area was also lovely with plenty to see and do.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend without hesitation.'

'This lodge is just lovely. It is located on a small sheep farm which was a great bonus. The sheep are on the fields like 6 feet from your door and they had just had babies! There are pheasants too. The lodge is well equipped and the beds comfy. The heating is really good; had to turn it down at times. The views are outstanding and on a clear night you can see so many stars. There is no noise from anywhere, it is so peaceful. It is about a 20 min drive from Shrewsbury so ideal for visiting. I...

"Highly recommend to stay at Cromwell’s Tap House. It’s located in the heart of Shrewsbury, at walking distance of pretty much everything in town. Only 7 minutes from the train station. The rooms were located on the first floor above the pub. We heard no noise whatsoever, and only in the morning we heard some cars go by, but it was of no nuisance to us. The room was very clean, bed was comfortable and there were a lot of amenities like a hairdryer, coffee, tea, and towels. The linen were also very clean. The discount at the pub was a nice bonus; they have a nice selection of beers at good prices."
