« A month living as Ticos in the Casa Amarilla - great people, beautiful location and reasonable price. The hotel is conveniently located if you are visiting Tenorio Volcano and Río Celeste, although it is not right next to the main road. You have to drive about 10 minutes from the main road to reach the property. There are no shops or restaurants nearby, so if you don't plan to have dinner at the hotel, you'll need to drive back to the main road to find somewhere to eat. « Fabulous experience. if you want the wild/lodge experience but still a staffed hotel with a bunch of services then this is for you! We were in the middle of the wilderness, with birds and sloths on site, but still had room service/clean up and buffet style breakfast and a pool! Absolutely recommend. good distance to all the sites/activity but far enough from the tourist trap that is la fortuna! »
