Very quaint place with just enough creature comforts to stay for a few days. We loved the deck and hot tub, our dogs felt very at home there as well. We will tell our friends about this home and we will be booking it again next year

This property was VERY comfy! Nestled in Redwood trees with a comfy cabin feel! We had access to plenty of trails and beach spots! The cabin was well equipped with all the cooking items youd need!

My husband and our fur babies spent three nights at this wonderful location! The hot tub under the redwoods….priceless! Everything was provided for a very relaxing stay…loved..loved…loved it!

lovely and unique place in the redwoods

We really enjoyed our stay at Willowhaven. It's close to a great river spot to swim in with our kids. We tried a spot in Guerneville, but it was only for camp guests, while this was for the community and great during the week with fewer locals or tourists. The hot tub is phenomenal. Really sells the place. Good for a family of 4 or a couple.

Relaxing

This cabin, Willohaven was over the top. One of the nicest places that I have rented and I was so happy with it. Those huge redwoods surrounding the hot tub was beautiful. If you ever start I. The Monte Rio area, stay here, you will not regret it.

It's a beautiful place. It's hard to find so be careful on the drive. But it's such a great place. The outside hottub has a vibe with those enormous redwoods surrounding it. Very peaceful.

Very comfortable stay

I’m not sure if we were tired or if it was the quiet woods but we slept until 2pm our first day. Very comfortable bed. House has everything you need. It is not isolated, there are homes all around, but the trees provide a lot of privacy. GREAT trees.

Beautiful Property, Perfect for Romantic Getaway

The property was amazing and perfect for my husband, myself, and our furbaby. Only a few small problems: dishes were not well washed (may have been their dishwasher) and the jets for the hot-tub and inside bath were not working. Other than that is was amazing. Would definitely come again!

Great overall

Aside from the patio furniture that was not cleaned and a bit weathered, the overall stay was great. The listing said to bring charcoal for the grill, but it wasn’t necessary because there was a propane grill and I also received an email the day of our arrival that charcoal was not allowed. I called the property manager to clarify this, but they never got back to me. Inside the cabin was very clean and cozy.

Wonderful Cabin In The Woods

Willowhaven is a fantastic cabin-in-the-woods getaway destination. The interior is a little dated, and the bedroom carpet is stained, but the house is clean. The bed was extremely comfy. There is a pull-through gravel driveway. Self-check-in was a breeze. Unfortunately, I had an interruption in plans and was only at the property for about 24 hours. I arrived late afternoon, showered, slept, left for the day, came back, packed, and left, therefore I have nothing more helpful to add to this review. I would come back, it's a lovely location.

Overall positive experience, but the listing doesn’t fully match the listing. Upstairs gets very hot. The bed is very old and not comfortable. There was loud construction outside and there wasn’t a ton of privacy from the neighbors. There was lots of poison oak in the backyard so we couldn’t let out dog off leash. The deck was gorgeous though and we enjoyed the hammock and the hot tub.

This is a very unique property for sure. however, upon entering the home the first thing you see is a dirty rug. I understand It's pet friendly home, but there are stains all over the carpets everwhere. I didn't want to take my shoes off. couch was also dirty. everything else was beautiful. If this problem was corrected it would be lovely place to stay.

Russian River wineries visit

The house was very clean and comfortable. The upstairs bedroom was very spacious. We had our 2 small dogs with us and they had a hard time negotiating the stairs, but that is no fault of the property. Having a large bathroom downstairs as well as upstairs was very helpful. The large outside deck was covered with many sets of tables and chairs so it was hard to maneuver around them and they all needed a good cleaning after the winter. It was chilly in the morning and we were busy most of the day so we had no reason to use the outside though my husband did use the hot tub one night and enjoyed it.

Great stay

This house was perfect for my son and me. The location was perfect in almost every way- walking distance to a nice beach on the river and walking distance (for us) to everything else in Monte Rio. I walked our dog several miles everyday through the neighborhood and out along the river and Dutch creek. This is a great house if you are traveling with a dog. The fenced yard is huge. The deck is not gated, but our dog is not a wanderer so that wasn’t an issue for us. The only drawbacks were looking out at the neighboring houses which are in need of some TLC and the neighbors across the street who had ongoing arguments. But the beautiful redwoods and house more than made up for those annoyances. We would definitely stay here again.

Multiple dogs allowed

Comfortable bed, hot showers, clean hot tub, and gas stove for preparing delicious meals were our favorite amenities and the space was comfortable for just the two of us and our 5 dogs. We would consider staying here again when the average temperatures are below 80 because the lack of air conditioning and screen doors made for an uncomfortable first nights sleep. However, we went and bought a fan to cook and sleep comfortably the remainder of our 5 day stay. This properly has so much potential and would greatly benefit from installing a mini split system, some hardscape/landscaping in the backyard, a gate to enclose the front entry, and some updating, but the style is typical for the area and it was clean and quiet during our stay with a generous yard for the dogs to play. If you love to travel, and adventure with your dogs, this place is a great option.

Getaway

We wanted to get away from all the stresses of life and boy was this the perfect place to do it. The surrounding area is beautiful and tranquil. The inside of the house was well acquainted and provided us with all that we needed. We loved the sleep number bed and being able to sit up and watch a movie in it. The hot tub with the redwoods surrounding it made it so difficult to leave every night. It’s fairly close to wineries (about 30 minutes) but the lovely drive made it so it wasn’t an issue. There’s a Safeway nearby, which we went to to stalk up on breakfast goods so that we could enjoy the deck in the morning. The home was so cozy to be in, many days we left late and only made it to a couple of wineries 😬. But it was the perfect! We went to the river on one of the days. It’s only a 5 minute walk through the neighborhood. The river was GORGEOUS and we lingered out there for over 2 hours. Love, love, love this place. I’m already trying to figure out dates for me to go back :)
