Rooms perfect with en suite and views when sat outside were amazing. Loved watching the red kites . Central to all walking spots and hosts were friendly and nothing wasnt too much trouble for them. »

« A lovely old-fashioned hotel in a stunning setting.
Comfortable, clean, cozy.
On arrival we were surprised to find nobody there even though we'd waited for reception opening time. Our keys were in a plastic bag pinned to a cork board. Explanations were confusing.
Breakfast was an epic adventure. The gas stove had broken down and a tremendous effort was made by staff to provide us with a very good Welsh breakfast that was well worth waiting nearly an hour for.

« We had a lovely weekend away at this Inn. The room was spacious. The bed was very comfortable. Nice thick curtains that kept out most of the light. Powerful shower. We had a couple of meals and the food was excellent. Breakfast was good. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a problem with our car and they let us stay longer in the room whilst we waited for the RAC. Would stay there again if I was in the area. »

« A beautiful converted train wagon nestled in the Welsh countryside. Very well put together with most amenities available. Very comfy bed - small but well sized for a intimate break together.
There were just a few things we thought to mention:
1. No WiFi came as a huge surprise. Personally we (and probably most) assumed there would be wifi. We would’ve really appreciated this being explicitly stated.
2. There was practically no communication from the hosts, just an empty email with a pin on...

« I was going to visit the Brecon Mountain Railway and I needed somewhere close by to stay for the night. Luckily, I chose the Butchers Arms. The room was lovely and clean and the bed very comfortable. The food was filling and tasty and I had breakfast looking across to the start of the Brecon Beacons. The beer was wonderful especially the Butty Bach (little friend in Welsh). »
« Great location. Quiet area. Good value for money. Ideal size for a couple. Pet friendly. Perfect base for hiking as only a short drive to popular peaks.
Parking tricky due to narrow street, limited spaces. Kitchen basically a conservatory, so most of the day time difficult to spent time in due to heat (late June). Would be very cosy in winter, autumn or early spring.
