This unique, remodeled home is situated at the base of the Funeral Mountains, a short walk from the California border. Not only are there stunning views of the mountains, but you could literally walk to them from the back door.

Enjoy the outdoors with a huge covered patio or take in the sun on the brand new deck. A great place to stay while visiting Death Valley National Park. Just 6 miles from Big Dune recreation area and a short drive to Beatty.

The mountain view was beautiful and the back deck was awesome to relax and gaze at the stars. The entire place was immaculate and comfortable after a long day of hiking. The kitchen was fully equipped. The host was attentive to our needs especially presenting ideas for dinner. I would definitely come back!

We were worried that we would not be able to find it since we were coming after. It was totally dark outside. Instructions were perfect and we had no trouble finding it. The home had everything we need plus more than we expected. The condiments were already there and we did not need to concern ourselves. Beds were comfortable kitchen was perfect. We made ourselves at home after a long day hiking.

The home is small, but cozy. There is a small family run grocery store a few miles away. The home has everything you need for a visit to Death Valley NP. The night skies set this place apart. The stars are very bright and fill the sky from horizon to horizon. Super quiet and peaceful. If you go to the Park, consider the hike to the Red Cathedral!

Die Nähe zum Death Valley ist super und die Wohnung für einen Zwischenstopp von 2-3 Tagen gut. Wir geben nur drei Sterne, da wir die Unterkunft nicht so sauber fanden und die Unterkunft nicht ganz den Fotos entsprach: - die Badezimmeraustattung wie Maske, Mundspülung etc war nicht vorhanden - die Wohnung war gefüllter: mehr betten im 2. Zimmer (normales + Hochbett), weshalb die zwei Teleskope im Wohnzimmer standen + ein - leider - defekter Spielautomat Das machte die Wohnung für uns weniger gemütlich - auserdem sind direkt vor dem Haus noch zwei andere Unterkünfte (Häuser) die auf den Fotos nicht ersichtlich sind. Dort brennten die ganze Nacht die Lichter weshalb wir keine Sterne sehen konnten.

The views were definitely a million dollar views, we stayed there on a new moon so it was really dark and we were able to see billions of stars!!! I wish we could’ve stayed a couple of more nights!!

This property is wonderful! It is an absolutely gorgeous setting and fully equipped with everything you need! Misty was fabulous and even recommended places to eat. We would love to visit again and stay longer next time!

A wonderful accommodation close to Death Valley

The house is in a beautiful and peaceful location about an hour outside of Death Valley National Park. Our party consisted of my husband and me, and a couple of friends from Denmark who were visiting us. The layout is perfect for either two couples, or for one couple and a family of four. The rooms are at opposite ends of the house, which is very nice for privacy. We really enjoyed all of the amenities, and especially love the large covered patio.

This was so far the best hotel on my trip this year. The rest of hotels I was staying in this trip received one star, this one receives 5 stars. All was great. Very good property.

We enjoyed this stay so much!

Misty and Marcus have set up a perfect spot for a family to enjoy the Nevada side of DVNP. No detail was spared and everything was extremely intuitive. We really felt like this place was home for a night! The front porch has lots of cool spots to hang out with some games to play. The kitchen is perfectly stocked with a nice fridge, pantry staples, and a filtered water tap. After we all had our fill of walking out to the Funeral Mountains, my niece and nephew loved all the games, books, and the Pac-Man machine. The only surprise we had was that the house is on a shared property with two other dwellings that all share a drive/parking area. Outside of that— there’s no one near you for acres. Thanks so much for your hospitality Misty and Marcus!

What a gem. Out in the boondocks in the little town of Amargosa with truly amazing views. We really wanted to walk right up to the mountains to the colors but it was probably further than it looked so we didn't try. We should have. Amazing night sky. Plenty of toys for kids like air hockey table, board games, mini arcade, etc., all in the outdoor space. There was AC in every room. One full and one bunk bed in one room and a queen in the other. At elevation of about 2600 feet, it was cooler than Death Valley, which was a very easy drive.

We had an amazing stay at this property. The house was very clean. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals there during our stay. Misty was a great host! Would highly recommend if you want a great stay in a remote quiet area.
