The good:This is a cute house and nicely furnished. I especially appreciated that it was decorated for the holidays.Bad: I booked this property over Christmas and had plans to cook a nice meal for my elderly mother.Photos depicted a kitchen with a dishwasher.After I checked in, the dishwasher did not work and looked as though it had not been used.I contacted the host who said it had not worked since they had the property and stated they thought it was mentioned in the description (it was not).I explained this was an issue as I wanted to spend time with my mother, not washing dishes. Host reached out later that day and said the dishwasher would be repaired the day after Christmas, which was the day I left.I also mentioned there were only a few spoons and forks with no knives in the kitchen.The host later reached out and said she was having Wal-Mart deliver "a few items to make my stay more comfortable." Wal-Mart delivered a cutlery set, paper products, cleaning supplies (which I was confused as to what the expectation was), and creamer.By that time, I had already gone to store to purchase disposable plates and cutlery I would not have to hand wash.The shower was covered in mildew and needed to be cleaned prior to using it.The neighborhood is not the best area of Meridian, but not the worst. Property was listed as pet friendly. I had a question about my pets for the host prior to booking who did not respond until the day I checked in. Will not stay again as I felt I was misled.
