Guadalupe Lake Lodge features a breezy, 1-acre lot leading right down to our private lakefront. The perfect setting for family reunions, milestone celebrations, corporate retreats, and micro-weddings. Step out of the lodge and enjoy direct water access from our private dock, ideal for lounging under the pecan trees or swinging your feet over the water.

-- Life on the Water --
The Lake is Back! As of Summer 2026, Lake Placid is once again open and a premier Texas destination for water sports. Because this stretch of the Guadalupe River is dammed, it forms a calm, constant-level lake offering plenty of space for wakeboarding, jet skiing, or a peaceful sunset cruise.

From sunrise to sunset, the water is your playground. We encourage you to bring your fishing poles (the fish are biting!), water toys, and life jackets. The calm waters make it the perfect spot for swimming or lounging right off the dock. For safety, we strongly recommend everyone wear a life jacket while in or near the water.

A Note on "Floating the River"
Because our water is dammed, you can float in a tube but you likely won't get far downstream. If your group is looking for the traditional Texas river tubing experience, the outfitters for the Comal and Guadalupe rivers in New Braunfels are an easy 15 to 20-minute drive away.

You can rent kayaks, paddle-boards, pontoons, and boats through Red Beard Rentals. They can deliver and pick up from our dock. While our boat lift is non-functional, you can easily tie up to the dock to access the house.

* Public Boat Ramp: The Lake Placid Public Boat Ramp is located just five minutes away under the I10 overpass.
* Parking: We offer watercraft trailer and overflow parking
* RVs: You are welcome to park an RV in our overflow area with advance permission.

-- POLICIES --
- No smoking inside, no pets allowed. If any of the smoking or pet policies are broken, guests may be fined or asked to vacate without a refund on their booking.
- No events, parties or large gatherings over limit without prior approval. Weddings over 30 people are an additional $850 event fee and must be held outside or under the house regardless of weather.
- Must be 18 years or older to book. Photo ID may be required upon check-in
- The property is raised 12 feet and has stairs, therefore it may not be suitable for those with limited mobility though the entire living space is on a single floor.
- The property features exterior security cameras that record sound and video. They do not look into interior spaces.
- Respect the neighbors and their property boundaries at all times. Do not use their dock or ladder to access the water.
- Maintain music and noise to respectable volumes. We have neighbors that live in the area full-time and sound travels easily across the water. Quiet time is 10p.
- Internet speed can be upgraded for work gatherings. Please contact host in advance of your stay for options.
- RV spots available next door for rent.

- NOTE: While we're on a constant level lake, the lake level is controlled by the river authority and weather and thus boat access to dock or general water level cannot be guaranteed. For information on current water levels contact GBRA.
