4.8 stars rating. Our party of 10 thoroughly enjoyed everything this property had to offer for our extended family and friends getaway. The Great: the host was friendly and very responsive; the grounds were beautiful, quiet and clean; the pool was clean, the temp perfect, and of top notch quality; the interior spaces were spacious and comfortable, the kitchen appliances were top notch for the chefs we brought with us; and the sheets and towels were of great quality. Our suggestions: although we were prepared for a 200 yr-old, historical designated house and all that entails, we would have loved upgrades to the master bathroom and bathroom near the Boarâs Head room. We also suggest adding a coffee pot in the kitchen and ensuring the light bulbs in the Christmas string lights in the garden and in bedrooms are in working condition before each rental.Finally, be prepared to have a car while staying in Mattituck if you want to travel to other parts of Long Island. Mattituck is beautiful and ideal for relaxing, wine tasting, farmerâs markets and pristine, quiet beaches. But you will need a car to get to the South Fork and be prepared for the long drives.
