ACCOMMODATIONS It is the ideal place for relaxation and physical well-being, far from the stress of everyday life. Fragneto is an old country farmhouse dating back to the mid-1800s, nestled in the southern foothills of the Apulian Murgia at about 430 meters above sea level and located a few kilometers from Martina Franca (TA), a town known for its late Baroque architecture and the Itria Valley Festival, and considered one of the most beautiful towns in southern Italy. Masseria Fragneto consists of a central core with three wings known as the “manor house,” which stands out impressively with its white facade, and the “farmhouse,” an ancient structure built of traditional Apulian stone that in past centuries served as the residence of local officials and is now used to preserve historical artifacts of the same category. A thorough restoration of the interior and exterior structure, along with the exquisite 19th-century furnishings, has made it possible to enhance its beauty and charm, transforming the estate into a true oasis of peace and tranquility, “temporally detached.” Surrounding the farm are approximately 23.5 hectares of red clay land enclosed by stone walls, 15 hectares of centuries-old cypress-lined avenues, forests, pine and olive groves perfect for healthy walks or bike rides, and 8 hectares of arable land from which you can enjoy nature’s bounty

You’ll have plenty of options for your itinerary. We’re in a region of Apulia rich in culture, nature, and towns to visit. I’ll give you some tips. About 7/8 km from Fragneto, you can visit the town of Martina Franca, which, from its vantage point, overlooks the beautiful green landscape of the Valle d’Itria dotted with white trulli. The town’s main attraction is the historic center, a superb example of Baroque architecture, with its narrow streets, white alleyways, elegant mansions, and monumental churches. Heading in the opposite direction, about 30 km from Taranto, you’ll find a city well worth visiting. But if you want to take a short trip, you can head to Bari (about 70 km) or a little farther to Lecce. But let’s not forget that, above all, it’s just a 20-minute drive to some of Apulia’s most beautiful beaches, where you can enjoy a sea that’s so clear and rich in color. And where the sun and fresh air will give you a boost of energy that will last all winter long!
