Decent older home

Decent home, area is not the greatest but not in a rough neighborhood. Home is older and could use some up keep but overall a fair price for the amount of bedrooms it has.

So much to like

We enjoyed our stay at this property. The location was excellent. We were able to walk downtown to shops and restaurants which was so convenient. We were also close to the beach and we spent a couple hours on the soft sand. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything one would need. We did make eggs/bacon, homemade pizza and a charcuterie board during our stay. It was handy to have all the kitchen items we needed. The unit is very clean and decorated cute. We did remove the pads from the chairs outside the house as they were moldy. But it was fine to sit without them. Excellent communication by the management company. They give an entire e-handbook with information you would need. Super friendly and responsive. Our only complaint are the washcloths and towels. They were horrid. Do yourself a favor and go buy a couple towels at the Meijer store in town. The ones at the unit are like sandpaper. There were no dish towels either. You are expected to do dishes but have no way to dry the dishes. We would stay here again for sure. The benefits far out way the issues with the towels. It’s a nice and cozy VRBO.

Cozy home!

This is a really cute and cozy place, we appreciated the cleanliness upon arrival, the decor in the home is really cute, it's on a very quiet street, sitting on the front porch to drink coffee was very peaceful. Just a short drive to the beach or if you're feeling up for it about a 20 min walk. The outside of the home needs some attention, there are some broken boards on the patio, and the patio and front porch furniture could use an update. Our only complaint for the kitchen was there was no drying rack for drying dishes, and kitchenware also needed an update, there was no toaster that we could find, and more dishcloths should be provided for guests. Otherwise the property managing company was very attentive, the check in process was seamless, they were great, so hopefully the owneee might just consider a little TLC to these few issues and this place would be an absolute gem.

My family enjoyed the house and the neighborhood location. When we arrived the smoke detectors kept going off so my wife contacted the property management and was informed to unplug all of them and they’d be over the next day to add batteries to all the units. They never showed up so the smoke detectors were inactive all weekend. The kitchen cook ware should be updated as well.

We had a wonderful time here with family! The house and furnishings were very comfortable. We enjoyed the front deck and patio. There is not a dishwasher but we didn’t need one. I highly recommend this cute, comfortable house for your home base to beaches and docks on Lake Michigan.

All was well, however, it would be nice if the outdoor patio area was repaired since there were quite a few loose boards Otherwise, everything inside the house was very neat and clean, and the kitchen was well equipped. We did have quite a bit of difficulty getting cable television, and never did get it to work.

Delightful stay

We had a wonderful stay. The house was clean and spacious. It was a short walk to the beach, downtown, and the river walk. We would definitely recommend Manistee and this house to a friend!

Nice layout, bedrooms, and bathrooms were comfortable. The living space was great, a very convenient location, and great for a visit in the warmer months. A few housekeeping items to work out.

Weekend Ladies Weekend Getaway

Our annual girlfriends getaway was made even more special because the house was set up perfectly for the 7 of us! The kitchen had everything we needed for meal prep & we made use of the side patio for evening cocktails! We all had a place to sleep & never had a problem w/ the 2 bathrooms between all of us. We walked to the beach in the mornings to enjoy the view & were glad it was only a few minutes drive to all of our local destinations. The owner responded promptly when I had a few questions.

Short week stay

Property was as advertised, very clean inside. It would be nice to have a dishwasher and the toaster did not work, luckily I brought my own. Otherwise, it was a pleasant week at this location. Front porch steps need to be repaired and hand rail is loose.

Beachtown house

Great house and location tucked away from busy road leading to beach. Short walk to the beach, playground, brewery and restaurants. Short drive to walk to the lighthouse on the other side of the channel. House was exactly as advertised and well kept. Would be nice to have a dishwasher but we knew that going in. House was perfect for our vacation. Lots of golf options nearby too within a short drive. Would come back here again after a great stay.

I’d Come Back!

We enjoyed our stay at this charming historic house. It was clean, updated and well supplied with all our kitchen needs. The furniture and beds were comfy and the location was just a short walk to downtown and the Manistee River. The beaches and boat launch were 5 minutes away or less. The beaches at Manistee are amazing!

Walking distance to downtown, the river walk and Lake Michigan. Recently updated and fresh. The upstairs only has a small en-suite bath so the occupants of the other bedroom must either go downstairs or through the bedroom. The front porch was a great hang out spot. Be advised- There is no dishwasher so pack lots of paper plates.

The online pictures were not exactly accurate as there is some maintenance that needs to be done on the outside but the inside was very clean and exactly as stated in the listing. The property manager was very responsive when we needed something. Love the big front porch and side yard table! Overall a great experience!

Perfection

We booked this property not knowing much about the area for a girls weekend. It was perfect we hardly left the property. It’s decorated so cute, it was clean, plenty of room to visit both inside and out. The neighborhood was quiet. We will definitely be renting this property again.
