Nice property for a short stop over in way to a resort. In the middle of town, very secure, clean, loads extra bits in the room, great service and Male is a great experience for a day😁😁

Property was clean & convenient. Perfect for a quick stay until you head to your resort. Hot water lasted like 10mins then was gone. Check-in was efficient and quick. Restaurant downstairs was pretty good. Wi-fi very spotty. Flawless airport transfers & it was nice to utilize some of my Expedia VIP status benefits

The staff was very friendly and the hotel was comfortable. The transfer from the airport to the hotel was smooth and the transfer to the airport the next day was also smooth. I would stay there again!

A great little hotel in Male. In a small street both with both ends of busy shopping streets. Nice hotel restaurant and breakfast was fab! Room was large and clean. Staff were super friendly. Definitely recommended…

Welcoming and Detailed
The Somerset staff was fabulous. The food was delicious. Very courteous from check in to check. Organized our shuttle bus with a to go breakfast early morning. Coordinated with our island hotel regarding details. very friendly, great room with outdoor bistro table and chairs, desk, table inside and good internet connection.

Our flight arrived in Male past the time for the seaplane to take us to our resort so we have to look for a hotel to spend a night at Male. We came across this hotel on Expedia saw pretty good reviews and it's close to the airport so we decided to stay there. That was a great decision because we have a wonderful experience with this hotel from booking through check-out. They communicate well upfront to obtain our arrival information and they have someone waiting for us at the airport once we clear through custom and took us to our hotel. We get a glimpse of Male on our ride to the airport. The check in was smooth and they brought our luggage to our rooms. The next morning, there was free buffet breakfast for us to enjoy before someone at the hotel take us back to the hotel and they make sure they take us to the counter to meet with people from our resort before they left. I highly recommend anyone who's just doing a quick transit at Male as the customer service we received was superb and everyone there was so friendly. If we ever go back to Maldives and have to spend a night at Male, we'll definitely go back to Somerset Hotel.

Staff gave us a hard time upon check in even when we had booked a higher priced family room for 4 (2 adults, 2 kids). They wanted to charge us for kids. Zero recognition of vip status. Very overpriced for what it offers.

You reservation through Expedia was booked for 2 adults only. Once you arrived with additional 2 kids, after a long discussion it was decided to offer complimentary accommodation for the 2 kids, and only charge governmental green tax 6 per child, as we are unable to waive off governmental taxes. Once again, we apologize for the unpleasant experience and despite this, we hope to be able to welcome you back to The Somerset Hotel.Kind Regards
