'We had arrived in Paris after a 10-hour transatlantic flight, taken the TGV to Lyon, and driven our rental car to St. Albans. We planned to stay two nights to recuperate from jet lag. St. Albans is filled with narrow streets that seem to have more traffic than you would expect in a small town. It was very dark when we arrived and Verizon's international plan offered no connectivity. I knew the address of the rental, and I had the key box code. It would not open the key box. I tried...

'We hebben een heerlijke vakantie gehad in dit charmante oude huis. Het huis was netjes en het zwembad wordt ook goed onderhouden. De tuin is volledig afgezet en dat was ontzettend fijn voor onze honden. De communicatie met de zeer vriendelijke eigenaar is ook heel prettig verlopen. De omgeving is prachtig. Het was wel erg warm in de slaapkamers dus een ventilator was geen overbodige luxe.'

'Great location, very nice house. The weather was nice and sunny so we took good advantage of the pool and barbecue and had a lovely time.'

'Alex is a great host. We had a couple of hiccups but Alex responded immediately. The house is very modern with a great kitchen and living area. The patio and garden were a bonus. Lots of room for football practice between father and daughter. The metro was a short walk from the house giving us easy access to the center of Lyon.'
