The service I received at the Lincoln inn was the worst I’ve ever had while visiting LA. The concierge was EXTREMELY rude not only to me, but to two other guests waiting in line to check in as well. Yes we know check in is not until 3pm but most hotels will let you store your luggage there until your room is ready. When asked if any of us could he responded with “show me where on the website does it say we store luggage” in an extremely rude tone. Then he argued with me when I said I never said that was on the website I just said most hotels offer that option that was the only reason we asked. The two other guests left to find a hotel and so did I. Also the photos on the website were completely misleading and the motel looked NOTHING like the photos. I am a single woman travelling with a small child and because he simply didn’t want to deal with us he locked the doors to the building and said “don’t bug me until 3pm”. I’m not sure what all the great reviews on this hotel were talking about?? The only reason I selected this hotel was because it had great reviews. Never ever will I be booking at the Lincoln inn and I will make sure to let other people know never to book here as well :)

The property is located very close to Venice Beach and Santa Monica, the price is reasonable for a no frills motel. Things that could have been better would be access to an iron and hairdryer, also our recycling was left in our room as we did not put in side the trash can so it could be recycled, usually housekeeping will take it away along with any trash. Otherwise our stay was good the room was clean and parking was convenient and the bed was made regularly. The towels were changed regularly and the bed was comfortable, the surrounding area had some homeless however they were not on the property itself and kept to themselves.

The room itself is recently updated with modern touches and comfy bed with helpful conveniences like microwave/fridge. Looks like new owners are trying to update. Surprisingly quiet for being on busy road. The outside bldg looks in high need of update and honestly you must read small print on hotel site photos as the photos shown are renderings of upcoming renovations vs the actual state. Drove by and missed as the exterior is still shabby. Didn’t regret staying here though! Close to Santa Monica, Venice etc.

I would have given this property more stars, if the cleaning staff didn't steal my powerbank and batteries out of my mist fan that I left out the day before. The day before I was set to leave, I assumed that I may have packed the powerbank and didn't check to see if someone took the batteries out of my mist fan. Also they did not take any of the recycling the entire time. If you leave anything out expect it to be taken by the cleaning staff except for any recycling. The front staff was very accomodating and polite. I let it slide when the recycling was not taken but I should have said something at the time, as it was mostly cardboard and cans. The bed was made when we would get back and the towels and toiletries were replaced on a daily basis. I am sure I am probably missing more things and have not gotten through all my things yet.

Overall, I found it very disappointing. There was a lot of false advertising online. It was presented to be a much nicer hotel than it actually was and furthermore to make it even worse they didn’t even offer coffee pot in the room.

Older property. But clean and remodeled inside - much appreciated. . Nice staff. Very thin towels. A bit noisy due to traffic. Microwave and fridge. Minimal accessories (soap/shampoo). Low bandwidth on free internet.

There are homeless people living on a side of this hotel. Dont get fooled by good pictures from owner. Hotel doesnt look like it. Rooms do look real, they are renovated. But everything else is dirty, smells bad, bad smell of cleaning supplies. They didnt let us check in until exactly 3pm evethou i wanted to pay for early check in. I wonluld not recommend this hotel. Im glad we had only one night there. Otherwise id move somewhere else. They do have good refrigerator. Dont stay here.

Very clean hotel and very nice staff with gated parking garage down below. Hotel looks old on the outside but is very nice and updated on the inside. Very spacious rooms as well. I would stay here again.

This place really blew me out of the water. From the lack of professionalism to the lack of upkeep on there rooms and guests. We stayed here in hopes to have a simple stay for 3 nights and it could have not gone worse. The employee Alicia at the front failed to mention nor once but TWICE the details of their parking set up. As I checked in I had no rental and let it be known I would be leaving to pick up. Alicia simple replied with an “okay”. Once I returned confused as to how parking went since it is limited, Alicia again failed to give me any break down on a garage they have for their guest when there is no parking. She short answered me when I asked “what about parking?”. She states the “check in” spot was where I was fine. Nothing more, nothing less. As we returned Saturday night there was only one spot open (I was not aware of ANY access to the garage and did not want to park on the street in fear of being towed). Next to me was a car in a handicap space with no handicap sticker. In confusion of what other options I had we left the car there to find a 400 dollar ticket the next morning. Had I been informed there was a garage accesible with the hotel key I WOULD have used it. But in this case being unaware left me with the one option. Not only did they ignore my urgency to figure something out, Alicia took it upon herself to lie to my face and pretend she said all the “parking rules” with a snarky character telling me what is the “obvious”.

I checked in at 5:30pm only to find the room already occupied, even though I had made reservations weeks earlier. The front desk was confused, told me there were no other rooms, and refused to call the manager she had just been speaking to. The manager supposedly issued a refund which has yet to appear 5 business days later. My 2 young kids and I were left stranded after a 7 hr drive, and ended up paying more than double at a nearby hotel. I finally spoke w/the manager who told me it was Expedia's fault for double booking so I called Expedia who's agent said the availabilty data comes straight from the hotel. I was promptly refunded and given extra onekey cash to help pay for the higher cost of the replacement hotel, which I was trying to get the Lincoln Inn to do. The Inn offered instead to comp me a room if they weren't close to being full at some point in the future. I have yet to get that agreement in writing. As far as the facilities, the room seemed spacious for the brief moment I got a peek at one. There were people outside the entrance to the hotel rooms who seemed to be living there long-term. The area is pretty congested with traffic and not that appealing, but otherwise doesn't appear to be dangerous.

On the whole, fine for a night or two. Staff are lovely, rooms felt recently renovated. Clean on the whole except the floor was dirty, needed a good vacuum and mop, lots of bits all over the floor. Also very loud throughout the night, people slamming doors, loud talking etc. Take earplugs and flip flops.

Tv never worked, we ask for a hair dryer didn’t had one available, people talking load at night, slamming doors knocking at doors at 2:00am. Good thing parking lot from facility was safe, there’s a McDonald’s next to the building but is not that close to the beach

We weren't expecting a 5-star hotel for this stay, but the Lincoln Inn was quite a disappointment. Our biggest complaint was that there were hairs in the bed when we turned down the covers! When I spoke to the clerk about it, she just tried to assure us that clean sheets were put on the beds that day, and those hairs probably belonged to the maid. Not a great experience.

It may look shabby at first sight. But once you enter the room, only exterior seems to be shabby. The room is clean, modern and has almost everything you need for vacation. McDonald is located just next to this hotel and good for breakfast. And front staff is so kind. I highly recommend if you stay around Santa Monica.

Everything was good! Hotel Inside was good and clean. The card to get inside the hotel wasnt working but it was an easy fix took less than five minutes.
