Excellent Service
My stay was great!!! I had no problems and the staff was helpful and friendly. Room was spacious and self sufficient.

I like that it was warm and the towels and bed clothes were clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The bathroom desperately needs updating and the room needs decorating. It was way below my expected standards.

The gentleman at the reception desk was friendly and welcoming, however the condition of the hotel was very poor. Our bed sheets and bathroom were fairly clean, however the carpet was very dirty and in poor condition. The bathroom floor tiles were cracked and moving when stood on. Our room was freezing despite the window being closed. Also, the bedroom furniture was very old and falling apart. We were very disappointed, and unfortunately we will not be recommending this hotel to our friends and family. This hotel would benefit from a total refurbishment, so that future guests can have a more positive experience.

Functional
If you just need a bed for the night then it’s fine. I needed it for that purpose so it didn’t disappoint. The room wasn’t overly pretty to look at but I went for the cheapest hotel and so I got what I paid for.

Appalling at best
This was one of our worst hotel stays in well over a decade. The room carpet was worn, stained and littered with debris. The bedside table drawer had a previous tenant's underwear and vape in it (pic attached). The wardrobe only had 1 hangar and the shelf was coated with a layer of dust plus an open packet of sugar. Mugs for drinks were filthy. Bathroom sink had nose pickings on it. Shower was filthy and wasn't working properly. The worst issue was the constant smell of cigarette smoke as there were lots of smokers downstairs and smoke would make its way into the room.

The hotel room was clean but the carpet was studded with what looked like white paint prints all over, the shower tray was cracked and the the seals were broken. The staff were not welcoming. We had breakfast at a table where the paper napkin stuck to it, there was no menu, and there wasn’t a clear option. The salt and pepper pots were filthy. The walls were covered in black marks and a clothes horse stashed against the wall. Such a shame because the room was a good size, just needs some TLC - a lot could be improved with some attention to detail and some heart,

It’s all there but just need a money spent on it . Cheapest one I found so I was happy enough. But if you want a hotel treat it’s not the place for you .

Hi , the hotel is probably a hoe house. I was with parents . There was several extra people I believe who just visited . Also mosquitoes present in room , toilet next to bed where we sleep . I just left after 2 hours. Pathetic . I want my money back .

Unpleasant last day
The hotel was an ok cosy spot close walking distance to train station, place was clean that i can say but in regards to breakfast which was included in stay i was told it starts at 8:30am on a weekend and which I was told the day before it starts at 7:30am so they need to make up their mind and dont work off feelings if they're up to it the morning I'd to go out and purchase McDonald's since my train departs at 8:30am otherwise from.that all else was ok

Overpriced & needs a facelift badly
I had a downstairs room which was handy as I had a problem with my leg & although I would have managed the stairs it saved me having too. Room was not ready until 14.35 but I spent an hour in the lounge on the internet so for me that was not a problem & having forgot that many had said there was no internet in the rooms later when I tried it I got on without any problem. The whole place though does smell of smoking inc my room I can live with it but it is supposed to be no smoking maybe they should hit those who do with an extra charge for doing so. Breakfast was also better than I had expected there was for those who wanted it Sausage, Egg, Beans & toast. I don't really have much so just the toast was OK for me. The place has seen better days & needs a facelift & at £95.00 it was certainly overpriced for the location. Not a place I would return to that's for sure

Terrible hotel
It was a nightmare. I was meant to stay for two days but the deplorable conditions of the hotel forced me to leave after just one night. They refused to give me a refund. The rooms are filthy, the service is terrible. Rooms are dumpy and stuffy. I will never recommend it.

Disgraceful - do not go
To start receptionist was not helpfully, room was disgusting with damp on the walls, broken furniture, poo staines and sick on the walls in the bathroom, mould in the shower, sick down the side of the divan bed. Service was apporling - no choice in breakfast was just given toast with 2 eggs which was swimming in fat. Was not impressed to say the least and will definitely not going back. No idea how this got a 3 star rating.

I booked a twin room. I was given a double room luckily my guest was unable to travel. Walls in the bedroom heavily stained and well worn, could do with some fresh paint and a new carpet. At lease the bed and toilet was clean. Breakfast was a shambles all they had was eggs and beans

Didn't expect much for the money but still poor :)
The hotel is extremely dated & in need of a facelift....no handles of some of the drawers, a curtain tie for a light switch, wallpaper hanging off or patched up with a different pattern.. Overall not good, free parking, locality to where we were going & the beds being reasonably comfortable stopped me from giving a really damning review

I will not be returning to this hotel.
This hotel is showing its age. Needs a complete re-decoration. The WiFi extended no further than the reception area. There was no food or drink to be had on the premises, apart from the set breakfast. Tea and coffee were available in the rooms.

This hotel was full when they took my money. They called to cancel my room and kept the money (leaving me an answerphone message advising they were overbooked and not to come).

Wouldnt stay again, even at the cheaper price
Poor welcome at reception, they couldn't find booking and just disappeared off for about 10 minutes. When they found it it was very abrupt - sign here - pay here short and sharp Hotel smelt dank and musty and bed had a slight smell of stale urine and room walls and bed base were heavily marked and tatty. Breakfast was OK if they get your order right but were helpful sorting it out
