Disappointed by Misleading Listing â Plunge Pool Was Inoperable
To whom it may concern:Our family was incredibly excited to enjoy a summer getaway at this beautiful home in Hocking Hills. One of the main reasons we chose this particular property was the plunge poolâit was the biggest selling point for us, especially with four young kids looking forward to swimming in the summer heat.Unfortunately, when we arrived last Friday, we were completely blindsided to discover that the plunge pool was out of order. Not only was there no water in it, but it was clear from the condition and odor that it had not been operational for quite some time. We were never informed in advance about this issue, and in fact, the welcome email we received even highlighted the pool and suggested it was ready for use.Needless to say, we were highly disappointed. Our children were especially upset, and it cast a shadow over what was supposed to be a fun and relaxing weekend. We reached out to VRBO, contacted employees at Book Hocking, and spoke to someone who came out to the property about another issueâbut despite all of this, we have yet to receive any meaningful response or compensation.At a minimum, we should have been informed that the pool would not be available. Advertising it as a working amenity and then failing to disclose that information is unacceptable. We would like a phone call back to discuss this issue further.
