Cabin with Fishing Pond in the Hocking Hills

The Red Oak Cabin is located in the Hocking Hills. It is 1765 Sq. Feet and sleeps up to 10 guests. This cabin has its own personal fishing pond and shelter house. It has 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 1 sleeper sofa.

A fire ring, gas and charcoal grills, and free wifi included. Equipped with central heat and air conditioning, fully stocked kitchen, and washer and dryer.

This cabin is located about 25-30 minutes from the state parks (Old Man's Cave, Cedar Falls, Ash Cave, Cantwell Clifff's, Conkle's Hollow, Rock house, and Whispering Cave) and about 6 miles from downtown Logan. Only 2 miles from Boch Hollow State Nature Preserve.
Located about 10-15 minutes from both Canoe Liveries and about 15 minutes from ziplining.

Four wheel drive is recommended between December 1st-March 1st if it snows.

No Pets Allowed.

Fishing pond and shelter house is located right next to the cabin for your own personal use. Must bring your own fishing gear. You do not need a fishing license since you are on private property.

Rates are based on the first 8 guests. After 8 guests there are additional charges.

You must be 25 years old to rent this property. You may not reserve for another party. Photo ID is required.

My friends and I had a wonderful time staying at this beautiful cabin! The fishing pond, hot tub and walking paths made for a very nice and relaxing weekend. We will definitely be staying here again in the future!

Perfect Secluded Getaway

This was a great escape for a couple nights. Plenty of beautiful scenery to see while exploring all the trails in Hocking Hills. The home was comfortable and clean. Would definitely return.

The Evans' family vacation

The hosts were extremely nice people. The cabin was very clean, they provided us with anything you could think of inside. The location was perfect. It was so secluded but yet close to town. The shelter house with grill was awesome! They even put new tin foil inside the grill! The beds were comfortable. Bathrooms were very clean. We would definitely stay here again.

Hiking getaway

This was our first hike taking our grandchildren ages 4-10. This place exceeded our expectations. We loved the fishing pond, the pavilion to eat and play games, the hot tub, the spacious outdoor area for kids to play, and plenty of room for all to sleep. The communication was great with the owners too. We would definitely go there again and highly recommend it.

Even during the process of applying for the cabin I felt confident that I was communicating with a owner who is compassionate and welcoming. The cabin surpassed our expectations of the property and the quality of the furnishing are excellent. We had the best nights sleep that we have had in years all three nights that we were their guests. I recommend the owners and appreciate their humor and wit in explaining the rules of the cabin.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Red Oak Cabim. The property was clean, well maintained and appointed. Lots of small extras that were much appreciated. Owner was friendly and helpful. The location was convenient to a variety of activities near Logan.

Beautiful cabib

The cabin is perfect, the area is perfect! All the amenities were perfect such a great kitchen to make lots of amazing dinners! The only thing that was a negative is I thought we rented a private fishing pond. We hung hammocks by the pond and tried relaxing while the kids slept but a bunch of kids from the cabin across kept coming to the pond playing and being loud when my kids would go to go fishing they would over take our pond and shelter which made me uneasy because we didn't feel comfortable leaving our stuff out at our private shelter. Only thing I wish they made it clear to other cabins the property's are private and they can't be loud and over take other people's area

We brought our six kids to this little cabin in the woods and had a great time! The private fishing pond was a hit, and with access to Hocking Hills, we were able to spend the day hiking. Hosts were great.

Reconnecting

The property is peaceful and beautiful. The house is very clean, and cozy. We particularly enjoyed sitting in the "solarium" (room off the kitchen with beautiful views) in the mornings having coffee and talking. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner and he was so gracious and welcoming. If you are looking for a place to get away from it all and enjoy the quiet and beautiful countryside, I would highly recommend staying here.
