« I like that it has old Alpine Charm that fits the highlands. They have go to great lengths to build out decks from the restaurant, have pickle bar ball court. There is a specialty food truck onsite in addition to good menu and nice bar, it gives the Pineola a vibe of youth and comfort. Although I don’t stay often I live in Newland in Summer and will make sure I get back to restaurant/ bar to relax one evening. »

« A little desk in the room to put a laptop on would be great. Other than that, everything is very nice and the staff extremely helpful. Thank you. »

« Don’t have high expectations as we did with booking a deluxe room, the room was in desperate need of an upgrade, I believe some rooms on the property were being renovated but ours looked nothing like the room on the photos. Not one coat hanger provided, an iron but no ironing board, bedding was supposed to be superior but the bed pillows smelled of stale sweat although clean pillow cases, found hair in bed, shower is either very hot or very cold couldn’t get it in between without it going off...

« Pilot Mountain Glamping Resort was a great weekend retreat for my fiancé’s birthday. Great location. We hiked at Hanging Rock State Park. We really enjoyed the deck with the Blackstone Griddle and fire pit. We had pancakes and bacon off the griddle for breakfast one morning, and hotdogs for dinner one night. S’mores later that evening over the fire pit topped off a great day. Jack was responsive to the only issue we raised and it was quickly resolved. »

« The staff is excellent they go out of their way to help. Rooms are very clean and relaxing. Sinks are slow in draining and usable. Love the balcony off the rooms. Restaurant is really good and the staff is great. Really enjoyed our stay and we will be back. »
