Prima hotel, alleen jammer dat wij twee dagen achter elkaar moesten vragen of ze de kamer wilde schoonmaken. Niet fijn als je terug komt van een leuke dag en dan moet je min. een uur wachten voordat je kamer weer netjes is. De locatie is heel goed en is er een heel leuke en gezellige bar.

Aardig hotel, centraal gelegen
De entree, de bar en het restaurant zijn uitstekend. De kamers zijn op zich prima. Het bad in onze hotelkamer was vreselijk vies. Daarom hebben we een andere kamer toegewezen gekregen. Dat was een superior kamer (ter compensatie) die gelukkig schoon was. Op deze kamer was echter een aantal spullen kapot (gordijn, paneel achter het bed) en zag het er allemaal wat oud en versleten uit. Al met al een wisselende ervaring en niet direct een aanrader.

Air con blew hot air the room just kept heating up and was over 24 degrees, was not working, they couldn’t supply a fan and when I demanded they move me room, that took an hour of arguing and then had exactly the same problem. Don’t stay here if you want to sleep !

Air conditioning was broken, fire alarms at 4am, possible fighting in the mall past midnight, not a great stay at all. I would avoid this property, definitely not worth the price

This hotel does not live up to standard. We paid for a superior room and what we got was far from that. 1. The air con didn’t work, the room never went below 25 degrees and was boiling, leading to a very uncomfortable nights sleep. 2. One dressing gown provided, in a room essentially designed for couples, only providing one is not good. 3. No shampoo, conditioner or body wash left, they had not refilled these and to me that’s a basic standard when it comes to a hotel. 4. Our room overlooked the light, which meant full noise of people and loud music up until around 1am and started again around 8am, leading to a poor nights sleep. Also meant that if we opened the windows, due to the heat of the room, we could hear the noise even louder (they should inform guests of the room over looking the light, but if you’re not from Leeds, you wouldn’t even be aware of what that is). 5. Very over priced, this room is usually £250 a night, we used some out our Expedia points to get it cheaper, however if I had spent £250 I would be absolutely disgusted and would be asking for a refund or something as a gesture of good will. I have stayed in many hotels of different levels around the world and I have to say this is one of the poorer ones, I would not recommend not stay here again, it ruined our weekend away.

Enjoyed my stay at the hotel and whilst there thought the staff were helpful and the service good. On returing home though, I realised that I had left a new shirt in the hotel room wardrobe. I contacted the hotel and was told that somebody would look into it and get back to me but this never happened which is very disappointing.

Fabulous hotel in Leeds centre
Great luxurious hotel in centre of Leeds. Near to art gallery and not far from train station and in walking distance. Was quiet too on a night. The bed was really comfy and nice to have a bath. Reception were really friendly. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

Trip to Leeds
Unfortunately this hotel had no pool, we only found out on arrival. Very misleading to say the least as I had booked this hotel purposefully for the pool to enjoy with the kids. Apparently access to the pool was for adults only and had a premium of £8 to use, this was not clear on booking. Certainly not good value to say this is supposed to be a four star hotel standard. We definitely looked forward to the pool. Once checked in, we were given a double bed for the three of us (one adult and two kids 10 & 13) this was very disappointing not even an extra bed was provided in this very small room so I returned to the reception. They apologised and offered another room with two single beds when I asked whether the two single beds would accommodate 3 people they said no. In the end they offered us a room with two single beds and an extra bed to be added. Not the best of sleeps on a fold out bed but at least we got a bed each! The best feature of the hotel was the central location and being close by to nice restaurants.

Ideally located for a city visit. Can't comment on anything other than the bed which was super comfy, we didn't use the bar or restaurant.

Could just improve check in experience
Lovely stay in a very nice hotel convenient for all town centre facilities and theatres. One little gripe was the check in procedure. We arrived at 2:15pm. Reception had 2 staff on the desk doing very little. They told us check in started at 3pm. They offered to store our bags until then. After a walk round the town, we returned at 3:05 to find a long queue for check in and a 20 min wait in a small area to get our room key. It would have been a lot easier if either they could have looked to see if our room might have been ready at 2:15 - and checked us in then, or if that wasn’t possible, maybe do the ‘admin’ for people as they arrive and have an ‘express’ key pick up point for those that have done that? Other than that though - the rest of the stay was lovely.

Bad start but still a great stay
Everything was amazing except for check in we were greeted by the most miserable receptionist ever. It was strange as the rest of the staff particularly the bar staff were so friendly and amazing.

See The Light!
Perfect location in the city centre, walking distance from station and shopping. The hotel is part of The Light a small centre with coffee bars, restaurants and cinema. It's safe, undercover and convenient. The hotel is Raddison quality with large, wee-equipped rooms, with top service.

i was disappointed to be asked what bed i wanted, selecting a double, and then be given two singles pushed together. Then being told it was tough luck. Fine if that's all they had - but why ask me to specify if I actually can't. Shower temperature setting didn't work either. So it was scoldingly hot and couldn't be adjusted.

Nice hotel, pleasant staff. Only criticism was the breakfast, we were asked what time we'd like our breakfast (served between 7.30 and 11) we said 10.30, no coffee in machine no tomatoes left no salted butter, sausages a bit dry, we should have gone for breakfast earlier

It was ok, just a few (but consistent) issues. Booked in and given a room not yet cleaned. Reception sorted it out and gave me an upgrade to apologise. Air con really noisy (kept me awake until I turned it off). Asked for poached eggs at breakfast,, chased them up, waited 35 minutes then gave up

Excellent Hotel
Staff were all very friendly & helpful, room was very nice, clean & spacious, bed was very comfortable, breakfast was very tasty. To sum up in a word, our stay was excellent!

I really enjoyed the stay at this hotel. Location is perfect for the First Direct Arena, which is just a 15 minute walk. The staff were so friendly and helpful.
