FIRST LIGHT-Nouvelle liste! Puget Sound / Mountains Panoramic Sunrise View

Située sur plus de 2 hectares, cette maison d'hôtes récemment rénovée offre une vue imprenable sur le lever du soleil sur Hat Island, le détroit de Puget et les montagnes des Cascades. Détendez-vous sur votre terrasse privée avec un café du matin ou une bouteille de vin d'un des établissements vinicoles primés des îles Whidbey. Nous sommes à 5 minutes à pied du vignoble Comforts of Whidbey et à 5 minutes en voiture du village balnéaire de Langley, regorgeant de restaurants fantastiques et de charmantes boutiques. Cette propriété est une escapade parfaite pour les couples.
First Light est un établissement non-fumeur. Nous avons une politique interdisant les animaux domestiques et les chaussures sans chaussures ainsi que les enfants de moins de 12 ans.
Les chambres de la maison d'hôtes sont situées au deuxième étage. Les chambres sont bien aménagées mais sachez que la hauteur de plafond au 2e étage est de 6’-8 ”et qu’elle n’est donc pas recommandée aux personnes de plus de 6’-5”. La chambre principale a une vue imprenable et est spacieuse et très confortable.
La cuisine / salle à manger est entièrement équipée pour la cuisine et la terrasse offre des espaces pour manger et se prélasser. Les cerfs sont des visiteurs fréquents et les aigles nichent à proximité. En mars et début avril, surveillez les bateaux d'observation des baleines. On peut souvent voir des baleines grises jaillir.
Le salon dispose d'une télévision par câble et d'un accès à Netflix et à HBO. Des livres, des jeux et des casse-tête ainsi que des jumelles sont à votre disposition.
Il y a un foyer avec beaucoup de bois de chauffage lorsque les interdictions de brûlage ne sont pas en place.
Bien que votre vie privée soit importante pour nous, nous sommes disponibles pour répondre aux questions ou faire des recommandations sur les activités et les restaurants.

absolutely beautiful, relaxing
A beautiful location, cannot be beaten with the view of the ocean and bay outside on the green space where deer come frequently, lists if hummingbirds. Your own private sanctuary if you will, a deck with privacy, plenty of seating for meals and relaxing. off the quiet road where there is a trail to the beach( can be a little challenging for some). The private accommodations are well stocked, comfortable, clean, modern, well ventilation with windows that are easily opened as needed. The host was very accommodating with information for the local area including a hiking guide which greatly appreciated.

This was a wonderful property for a weekend getaway from Seattle. It has an amazing view, is very clean and has an extremely comfortable king bed. There's a second bedroom with two more beds for kids that we didn't use. Although the property is attached to the host's main home, the unit is very private. I would book again!

We really loved our time here. The location is beyond beautiful, with spectacular water views. Nice to be such a short drive to Langley. The cottage is clean, comfortable, and tasteful. Mary and Mark are wonderful hosts - they were super helpful and considerate in every way. 100% recommend!

Almost Heaven
What a view! None better! You will not find better hosts than Mary and Mark! We visit yearly for a little rest and relaxation. Plenty on the island to explore. However, nothing better than sitting on the deck, watching the wildlife, the sunrise and the sunset!

Fantastic Hosts and House with a beautiful view
This is truly a special location and the hosts are truly special too. We loved the Comforts Winery. We enjoyed hanging out in Langley and exploring the South end of the island. We walked at Useless Bay at low tide and explored Saratoga Woods Trails. We also did the beach walk near the house with the steep stairs with the ropes included for safety. The hospitality was must appreciated including the wine and homemade muffins. We look forward to returning frequently because we both love "island time" and this is a perfect spot to unwind and relax.

The guesthouse is exactly as pictured. Property is well maintained with beautiful views over the water. Kitchen was well stocked with pantry basics: spices, salt and pepper, olive oil, tea/coffee. Owner even left chocolate chip cookies, which was a sweet touch..

An absolutely amazing location, cottage and hosts. The perfect getaway from the city life. The view was breathtaking and the cottage was just gorgeous! The host met us on arrival and made is feel right at home. It couldn’t have been a nicer place to relax and celebrate a 40th birthday! Highly recommend this to anyone!

Third of many
This was my third stay at this wonderful vacation rental (once solo and twice with my husband) and before we left we were planning our next visit. We spent time sitting outside enjoying the view, the quiet, all the animals and loved walking around the neighborhood. My husband fell in love with sitting on the deck happily warmed by the electric blanket. We prepared breakfast and lunch at the house, but ate dinner in town each night. How fabulous to have such great dining so close in town with a short drive back to again relax and enjoy the view. Don't hesitate to stay here. We certainly will be back as soon as our schedule allows!

Perfect for 2
First Light is a comfortable and scenic home away from home with wonderful access to the town of Langley. My wife and I were warmly greeted when we arrived. The accommodations were well stocked with everything we needed to prepare our meals and the king size bed was very comfortable. The main bedroom upstairs has a lovely view and we had deer and rabbits outside our window at times.

Whidbey Island Retreat
This was our second stay at Whidbey First Light. From the moment we arrived, Mary and Mark were so helpful. We were greeted and welcomed into our space. The blankets, including an electric blanket, were wonderful additions for mornings on the deck. The views are unsurpassed. A perfect way to begin the day. The overhang is deep enough that even the rain didn’t get to us. The cottage had everything we need, including a bed that was super comfortable. Given that the first time we visited was so wonderful, this second trip had a lot to live up to and did not disappoint. Thank you and we will definitely come back again.

As good as it gets!
We couldn’t have imagined a better place to stay on Whidbey. Mary & Mark made us feel so welcomed and assured that we could contact them any time. We received an immediate response when we did so. The guesthouse was CLEAN with tasteful updates, had a great cozy feel. Mary had provided coffee, tea and some tasty treats to get us off to a great start on our vacation, along with ample information about places to visit. The seating in the living room is very comfortable - which stands out relative to prior experiences in other rentals with slouchy couches and rigid uncomfortable chairs. The view from living room, bedroom (2nd floor) and deck look directly out to the water where we were able to experience sunrise mornings and the evenings full moon. Location was close enough to Langley. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thanks Mary & Mark!

Last time I stayed was a solo trip, but this time I brought my husband. He loved it too and we're already wanting to book our next trip. Next time we'll stay longer though to have more time sitting on the deck. We loved walking down to Comforts and being so close to all the fabulous restaurants in Langley.

This was our second time at First Light in Langley. Mary's place is a wonderful getaway, a peaceful serene spot outside Langley, Washington, with a beautiful view looking out toward the Cascades beyond the waters of Saratoga Passage. Water, mountains, wildlife, and quiet: ah, relaxation that can't be beat. Mary is a wonderfully thoughtful host offering privacy and a lovely place so well-stocked with everything one could need. We can't wait to return there again!
