Located at The Whiteface Club and Resort on Lake Placid

Just what you need to do nothing or everything.

Whatever you want, it's there! Our cottage (condo) at Lake Placid's Whiteface Club & Resort, is located on the west shore of Lake Placid, offers members and guests 400 panoramic acres of spectacular facilities and club services including an 18 hole golf course, 6 clay tennis courts, waterfront and marina, Nordic center, magnificent gardens, two restaurants within walking distance, from a sunset dinner on the lake's Moose Lodge Boathouse to The Café on the Green located on the golf course. Pick up The Jack Rabbit Trail, to take you through the woods and along the lake.
A great first trail for the young or older. Our cottage (condo) includes 2 bedrooms, 2 full baths, hardwood floors, washer, dryer, and privacy. It is an end unit, with a private patio where one can enjoy the morning sunrise above Whiteface Mountain. Vistas and views abound. It's an outstanding place to rest, relax, rejuvenate. There is so much to do. If energetic begin hiking the 46 peaks, or just sit on the beach in an Adirondak Chair in front of the magnificent Whiteface Mountain, and serene Lake Placid. Take a swim, fish, kayak, motor boat, or drive over to The Cottage at Mirror Lake for lunch, and a walk around the lake, or to downtown, full of fabulous shops, and outlets. This is the place to vacation. It has it all. Numerous fabulous restaurants throughout, as well as, site seeing adventures, and more, and more. Sometimes we just go there to do nothing, and that's great too. Sleeps 6.

This place was perfect for our family of 5 (adult kids). Beautiful location close to Lake Placid town, very clean, had everything we needed and more in the kitchen, bathrooms and living room. The washer and dryer in the unit were a bonus for us as we were traveling for the week. Communication with James was excellent and quick. We were close to everything we planned to do, Whiteface mountain, High Falls Gorge and some other hikes. JpWe would highly recommend this condo, and would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Summer Getaway

This was the perfect spot for a summer getaway with our boys. From the beach to the boathouse restaurant and access to such a spectacular golf course. Town is a short drive and all amenities are nearby. Jim was a perfect host and communication was seamless throughout. We will definitely be back!

Property was clean, a nice easy walk down to the lake. Not quite a Lakeview, but still pretty. There is plenty of items that you will need for a property like this that they have provided… Very thoughtful. The only real negative to the property is that it’s pretty dated but very comfortable. We would definitely go back.

Gorgeous Get Away

We got in late and it was dark, so when we woke up to the views around us, it was just gorgeous! We slept well in the comfortable beds and had plenty of room to relax inside and out. Everything was immaculately clean. Nice towels in the bathrooms. We had a lovely long weekend as the trees were starting to turn too!

Ironman Beware

The unit, location and owner are all great. Owner was very communicative and helpful. The issue is not in the control of the owner. The unit is a lower unit and the upper unit entrance is directly above the bedroom and you hear every foot step of the people above you. Had a horrible sleep every night thanks to guy stomping around in the above unit.

This was a fabulous stay at the cabin at Whiteface Inn. The facility was very clean and comfortable. The location was awesome. The owner communicated in a timely and thorough manner. The area is lovely! Hope to come back in the future.

Perfect Lake Placid getaway

My family rented this condo to enjoy the skiing at Whiteface as well as the town of Lake Placid. This was our second visit to the area but our first time skiing at Whiteface. This condo was in perfect condition, so clean and plenty of space for our family. The kitchen had all the items needed and the beds were super comfortable. The owner provided great detail with directions, ideas on where to eat, things to do, etc. Would highly recommend and looking forward to booking this condo again!

Loved the condo. Nice fireplace, comfortable furniture, spotless. Close to town and amenities. Able to snow shoe and cross country ski within a 1 min drive. A few nice touches: a few kitchen staples like olive oil, spices and coffee/tea. Tricky door lock but we got the hang of it! Thanks for having us!

Great girls weekend

We had a wonderful visit. The property was clean, beautiful and welcoming. Very comfortable beds. The gardens were beautiful and the view from the waterfront was picture perfect. The host was very helpful with suggestions for dining and enjoying the area,. The weather and scenery were gorgeous,. We enjoyed hiking the trail at Mount Van Hovenberg and walking on the Heaven Hill Farms trails.

I rented Jim’s condo for Ironman Lake Placid. The location was perfect and extremely quiet. It was a short walk to the beautiful Lake Placid beach. Krystal, the manager at the on site restaurant was very friendly and made our stay enjoyable.

I loved the convenience of being in Lake Placid but not in the busy downtown area. Being on the outskirts in a quiet neighborhood was lovely. Every morning we could hear a loon call - a personal favorite. It was a short and gorgeous walk down to the beach area. I will be returning!

Prettier than a Picture!

James’ unit at the Whiteface Club and Resort was such an amazing place to stay! The location was absolutely incredible—with club access to so many activities (kayaking, swimming, golf, or just relaxing on the beach) everyone in our group was able to spend time doing all of our favorite activities. It is only about an 8 minute drive to get to the Olympic Complex and the village with so many shops and restaurants. The unit itself had a stunning view looking out to the peaks, with glimpses of Lake Placid’s glistening water through the trees. The porch was so relaxing to sit at and have a cup of coffee in the morning watching the sun rise. The inside of the unit was very clean. James was extremely accommodating for our group (we had an extra person join us at the last minute), provided wonderful recommendations for restaurants and activities, and was so easy to reach with any questions we had (which truly allowed us to relax and not worry or stress about planning anything). Our only complaint was that we didn’t book another day or two!

Superb Stay at Town of North Elba Property

A clean, cozy and comfortable property, it is as advertised and incredibly comfortable for a group of 4 to 6 persons. Check-in was smooth, parking easy and amenities inside the property, excellent. The location of the property is superb; the surrounds serene; and it has easy access to great walks and trails. On top of all these, the property also allows one to relax and enjoy the ambience. We (four of us) enjoyed ourselves thoroughly and when we make our next visit to Lake Placid, this is the property that we are going to attempt to stay. Many thanks to the hosts as well as the property manager who was prompt with communications and details.

We had a great stay here in February. We skied, skated and enjoyed the restaurants in town. Jim's condo was prefect for us (family of five and our son's friend) and we had a great time. We did have an issue when we stayed, which was caused by the upstairs neighbor. However Jim handled it quickly and in a very professional manner. Great, responsible response on his part.
