'A very comfortable and well equipped cottage. Everything that is required is there, the bed was comfortable and the shower was excellent. My only (minor) complaint was that the quality of the towels supplied wasn’t great. Otherwise and excellent holiday home.'

'This is an excellent house in superb state of repair with very good quality furniture. It is very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The booking process was simple and Martin Wardle of the agents was extremely helpful. The house is situated in a village which is very near Kendal, the lakes and just over one hour to the Solway coast. There are some very good dining places in the area with our favourite being The Watermill Inn which has its own micro brewery producing very tasty beers. All in all...

'I would highly recommend this property. Large rooms, excellent facilities, very comfortable and exceptionally clean. No complaints at all. Our group of 4 loved staying here for the weekend.'

'On arrival we was greeted with a strong smell of damp. There was a lot of spiders and dead and live wood lice all around the house. The live were taken outside and the dead were sucked up the very doggy smelling vacuum cleaner. The sofa smelt of dogs and the sink had stuck on food remnants and dead wood lice. The only good points were: the bed was comfy and the nice touch of a bottle of Prosecco. Would we recommend and stay again? Unfortunately no.'
