Welcome to The Barn at Backroads Inn and Cabins. Originally a 1900's sawmill this barn transformed in 2012 with a complete renovation to provide a truly unique and unforgettable stay. Take a deep breath of fresh air and listen to the water run down the stream outside the barn on this 8 acre property surrounded by National Forest. You will feel complete peace while also being minutes away from Mt Rushmore (2.4 miles) and Custer State Park (15 mins).
On the main floor, there are two large rooms divided by a windowed wall.
The west side contains a comfortable lounging space, a dining room, a full kitchen, and a bathroom. The east side has a bedroom and a living room with a TV, queen-sized Murphy bed, and family games.
Above the west side is a large loft with two twin beds. There is also a master bedroom with ensuite bathroom and private deck.
Outside offers a large covered porch, a private fire pit, and gas grill.
If you are looking for a truly unique cabin, full of custom carpentry and ample space, the Barn is hard to beat.
Community pool (heated) open 10am to dark Memorial Day to Labor Day.
PLEASE NOTE: We offer Starlink Satellite wifi, but being located in an isolated valley we are susceptible to slower speeds.
PLEASE NOTE: Our cabin is tucked away in the woods, where you'll likely spot deer, wild turkeys, and other local wildlife. As with any wooded setting, the occasional mouse may make an appearance, though this is uncommon.
