  • The one bed cottage is a detached converted barn located on a working farm and livery yard with panoramic views across the Wharfe and Aire valley. The cottage has an open plan living, kitchen and dining area, the bathroom is located on the ground floor and the bedroom is on a mezzanine level upstairs. The cottage is located just across the yard from the main house at Moorcock Hall, ideally located just 6 miles from Ilkley and Skipton “the gateway to the dales”

Friendly and helpful hosts. Kitchen big and well stocked with needed items. Nice touch that a basket was left with food items. Knowing it was a converted barn it may be reasonable to expect some nature inside, but there were cobwebs and live spiders not in main areas. The scenery and horses is the pasture were a bonus that made this a restful and peaceful stay.

A wonderful property. Comfortable, peaceful, clean and tastefully decorated. Great communication with our host, who also supplied useful information on the local area. The welcome hamper was a lovely touch.

Lovely hosts who made me very welcome and let my dogs out whilst I was attending a wedding nearby. There was a welcome hamper and lots of useful information. Horses and sheep outside the window and far ranging views. Lovely walks straight out of the door and nearby.

Lovely cottage with plenty of dog walks straight from the door. Great location to visit places such as Silsden, Addingham and Otley or further a field. The cottage had everything we needed ,although an iron may have been useful, and was very comfortable for our two night stay. The bed was very comfortable and the bath and shower was lovely. We enjoyed a takeaway from the host recommended Chinese ( the George) at Silsden and found local amenities to be very useful. Lovely welcome hamper left by the hosts so we could enjoy a cuppa and a biscuit when we arrived. Added bonus was a washing machine so we didn’t need to travel home with smelly kit in the car after my husband’s run.

Lovely house in the countryside

We spent a month here as part of a two month trip around England. We loved the views and the countryside and the owners and their families made us feel very welcome. We would definitely come back.

Lovely Renovated Barn

This place is a lovely barn conversion. The views are amazing and the area is so peaceful. The hosts Sophie and Al are so welcoming and friendly and they provided us with a lovely welcoming hamper. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting a few days away.

Really enjoyed the cottage; cosy, clean and relaxing. The views from the windows are so lovely. The mezzanine bedroom worked really well with my dogs being in their crate downstairs as they could hear us therefore were able to settle. The kitchen worked well - we had all our meals there as we just wanted to have some time away. The local village had some nice coffee shops for a wander and the local co op was a nice one.

Cottage exactly as advertised. Beautiful location and views, Centrally located to many attractions, villages, shopping, hikes and views. Hiking biking trails right outside the door. Very nice family who do everything possible to make your stay pleasant. We would highly recommend a stay at Beamsley cottage and will tell all of our friends to contact Sophie for their trip to the UK.

Wonderful cottage to explore Yorkshire/National Parks

Absolutely love the cottage! Has everything needed to enjoy some time exploring Northern areas of England. Sophie is wonderful and responsive - and has a delightful family, who we got to meet. I would highly recommend staying at the cottage. Lambs and horses about the Farm, beautiful country side and towns and everything you could need in a self-catering spot. Can't say enough!

Stunningly beautiful views

Absolutely beautiful, peaceful and calm. 5 weeks here in this beautiful cottage, it was hard to leave. So comfy and cosy, it gave you a hug as soon as you walked in. The most wonderful sunrise and sunsets I've ever seen, feel so lucky. Sophie and Al couldn't do enough for me, excellent, kind hosts. Surrounded by beautiful landscape, a great place to take a life reset. The doggie welcome was wonderful too. Thank you.
